If anybody has a good place to get a lexan rear window I'm having a bit of difficulty getting anyone local to do it.

I was using it as an example. A cage with a halo and a pillar bars is much more rigid than a 6pt rol bar. Of course we cant truly test the strength on our own safely or economically, but i knew dustin has access to physically comparing the rigidity of both types to just see it.

What?!? Shaking a cage isn't the best way I've heard of testing cage strength with or without door bars in. That's like saying to jump up and down on a bridge to see if you could drive a loaded semi over it. While I agree that safety specs weren't made with these trucks in mind, further weakening the cage by removing a diagonal bar is crazy. A 7lb piece of steel will do considerably more for you in a crash than it will left in your pit area. It's cool that it worked out this time but you could just as easily be recounting a crash you had, that hurt you a lot worse than it should have, just because you had the door bars out.

Nhra rules state roll bar must be 1 3/4 thick...can it be built 2in instead? Doubt it would be a great weight difference. ..

It can be 2", mine is 2" chromoly.

Oh theres not doubt a 10 point like robs will be stronger than a 6 point, but it still gives me a bit more peace of mind. It may not stop me from getting hurt in a bad incident but may be the difference in walking away and being rolled away lol.

Is that a 5 or 4 point harness? If it's a 5, where did you mount the croch strap?

Setup looks killer! Nice work!
It is a 5 point harness, the crotch strap is just bolted through the floor and cross member under the truck. Everything turned out pretty good
