What i dont understand is why the trans is learning around or going around something that works perfect. Ill bet if i put my tcm back in it shift fine till after a few hundered miles again then get worse.

I couldnt get ahold of one. He'll have to stop by a dealer and have them do it.
Fast learn won't help this situation. Resetting TAPs will put it in fast learn most times and the TCM will cover up the problem till it runs out of parameter as far as pressures go. Then it's back to the old problem. Could be worn out back half of the transfercase snap ring groove or maybe C3 damage. Hard to say.
Why not just disasemble the thing. Youve tried about everything else. Pretty good chance of a hard part f up wouldn't ya say

i did that with him the one night we went out testing with the lock up box. IIRC it showed a negitive number and the same speeds. this was a cruise without a load though. Hes got the log of it. I assume your wanting it under a WOT condition
thats about where we are. Brian wanted to go to mikes when we thought we fixed it to make sure nothing was damaged internally from all this bad shifting. Pretty sure hes still going now but in the mean time, he and i may as well get as much info as we can for mike before hand. Hell, mike may jump in it, see something right away on the tech 2. I feel like we are only half testing without the tech 2 in hand.

On and off the pedal causes a pretty big load on the transfer case gear train. I see it a lot on 47RE Dodge trans extension housings.
I'd bet its easier to just pull the whole case then split it open. The torsion bar bracket is in going to be in the way if you try to split it in place.
