63+ trucks a month just for worn out/failed injectors???????????

how big of an area you cover????

whats your shop do??

LOL we are a Bosch service dealer and have a distribution network and sell to other shops as well. We install probably 4 or 5 sets a month. We cover 9 states for fuel injection distribution.

Care to explain a bit further? This CP3 holds rail just fine, but is there something else? Ive suspected the regulator has caused an issue, and that'll be something we look at next weekend.

Just something I read somewhere. Idle issuses, surging throttle, white smoke on cold start = pump problems. If your pressures are fine, then pump should be fine. I'm probably thinking of mech. injection anyway.

Pretty much what I figured. No big deal, really, as we all knew it was coming.

Anyone got a set of LBZ rods they want to sell???

He does. I figured it wouldnt hurt to ask here first.

Honestly though, I do not want condolences and am not looking for any. Im just reporting what's happened so others may learn. I really pushed the limits of my truck this year, and this kind of thing is what happens when a person pushes the limits, isnt it?

Where you running full fueling below about 2500-2700rpms? I limit mine to about 2200-2500ms below about 2600rpms.

I don't know if this helps becuase the truck is in the range probably for about .0001% of its life.

It seems like looking at the stock torque curve an all stock dmax is able to make about the same torque at around 2800-3000 rpms as its making at 1600-2000rpms.

All of mine were shortened it happens at that power level over a extended period of time you'll get it back right ;)

How about this for expenses for me coming up over the next year:

$10,000 (min) -- septic/drainfield
$2500 (est) --- adding insulation to home
$6000 (est) --- engine work

Looks like retirement is being put off for a while. Thank god my knees and back are still in good shape. Maybe I should start playing Lotto?

B0727 Throttle base injection quantity.

Controls how much fuel is delievered based on throttle position and rpms. You can limit fueling at WOT or near WOT at lower rpms to limit torque produced to try to not stress the rods so much. Since at WOT you arnt under 2800rpms a lot so it dosent effect it that much.

Looks like the RPM range was lowered and throttle % increased from what I ran in my 12.40 tune. :(

Tom that lb7 that caught fire in the cab is still siting just outside of town. A good stock lb7 motor with about 100K and fresh injectors on it....
