So Cal.
Yes, we all hotrod them. With that being said most hot rodders already know a manifold will last longer than a header.

Really? I'm not even getting into that. Not one company or person has done it all. That being said I knew someone that had an hx50 mounted sideways and 2 cp3s long before anyone released kits. Just cause it wasn't on the web, or posted everywhere doesn't mean it didn't happen. To be competitive with the top Cummins boys in the country you have to think outside the box. Kits will not allow you to be on the leading edge of power anymore.

Are you sure about this statment?

I bet he is, kits and all that mumbo jumbo are good for hot street trucks. BUT when it comes to raw power, you need to make your own parts / setup. How many "kit" parts are on Wes Kuselik's (sp?) truck? I bet NONE :thumb:

How much power do you consider "Raw power"?

Its easy to make big power with no limitations, Wes made around 1400hp on an engine dyno with a single 3.0 charger, maybe PPE should build a sled pulling truck???

Easy huh???

Who said anyting about limitations? The stament that was made was directed at "Kits"

We have helped on plenty of big name pullers (even Wes's truck):hello:

So your idea on "raw power" is 1400 crank HP?

Wow parts parts parts.... what about tuning, the driver and the mechanic? I personally have seen two shops put the same parts( from a kit) on two similar trucks with the same type of tuning(efi) one was/is a rocket the other not so much... kits can be refined by the end user and be made to be slightly custom, what this thread and threads like this one do is de-rail common sense, there will always be an option, someone tryin something new, something "better" or things that work well for others that dont work for you and me, why... it's America, because we can. So shut up already. Put your horse power where your mouth is and show us how you did it, then let all of us take and use what we want, with out getting all butt hurt all the time, for gods sakes your grown men and women.

Yes, it only takes money :D

Im sure you helped Wes out, so did a lot of people, but its not like hes running a twin CP3 "KIT" from PPE. Yep, I said kit, not parts that you custom built.

1400hp seems damn good for a limited single, dont you think?
