So Alto for C1s and GPZs for C2,3,and 4s?
You should regularly service your transmission no matter what is done do it.
Sorry, I meant does the absence of oil retention slots decrease the "potential" life of the clutch plate?
Hell I was under the impression that some of the Raybestos clutches weren't what they were cracked up to be. Maybe they make multiple styles? I haven't kept up with that kinda stuff lately. Are you talking about the GPZ clutches?
I've got a set to try in the c3s to should I ditch reds in c2 and c4s to gpz while it's apart?
Raybestos does have multiple frictions. They have a drop in replacement " torq kit" as well as two other exclusive frictions they make for us here at Suncoast
The pattern on the clutches is designed to retain fluid for lubrication.
Thank you.
I'm also going to climb out on a limb and say the torqkits are a alto "power pack" replacement?
The Alto power pack uses 14 C1's, 8 C2's, 5 C3's, and 6 C4's. ( frictions )
Well here's my question, I'm going to have the trans out to do the 4wd conversion, and I thought about pulling the bell housing and pump to do a modded converter valve and ML spring. Would it be worth while to change c3 and c2 to the gpz torqkit? Would it help the harsh 3-4 shift? (Not that its been an issue for me)
Did you get the lindered steels or the koleen steels with your C3's?
Answered question about what's good and not.. Plan on a suncoast 6.3 .. And a DPC 1600-1800 stall convertor
