True story.
Had some in my hands personally. One of them came out of an engine making 1200hp, the crank had over 225000 miles on it and was still good!!
FWIW Two of them were out of engines that cost over 20g to build.

For the record I wasn't doubting you. I'm glad that you shared the info along with being amazed of the strength of the stock crank.

Those 10-15 K BUILDS DO OKAY AT 700 HP. THEY DO NOT CUT IT AT 900 PERIOD. COCO IS NOT OFF TOO MUCH IN HIS STATEMENTS ABOUT COST. HIGH POWER IS NOT RELIABLE. IT IS EASY TO CLAIM THINGS WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE A MOTOR MAKING 900-1100 HP.

My motor build would be in the 10-15k range. It went almost 50k miles before I was stupid and added some magic stuff to my oil and I broke a piston above the wrist pin. That motor lived daily at 800+ hp and had 250 quarter miles passes above the 800hp range. I made many dyno passes above 900 and 3 1/2 mile passes at 950hp. That doesn't include the street play that my truck see's daily nor the 23K miles of towing on that motor.

My truck gets driven around daily at 8500lbs and I love the throttle. With all that said, I have seen big budget motors fail quickly and used parts builds seemingly live forever. It doesn't matter how much money you spend on your build whether it is 10k or 30k. Tuning plays a huge role, and luck and even larger role.

I plan on getting two full seasons of racing out of my current build. My smallest race tune is 845hp and the next tune is right at 890. They are both used at each race depending on track condition and how well I am driving. Bottom line, if you can't afford to rebuild it every time it breaks, don't build it or don't go above 650hp

Well said Verlon

They will break no matter how much or little money is spent on them. I wish there was a bullet proof setup but I haven't seen it.
