Not trying to flame, or start a war, but has anybody actually seen benifits out of big cubes? I dont see any duramaxes at the big pulls just running off and leaving other trucks, and i know some of the top 2.6 and 2.8 trucks are still stock displacement. Im only curious cause i decided to stay stock this year, and probably will till i see you can no longer compete with stock displacement.

I may have that answer for ya by next year if i have the money this winter , i am switching to forged pistons for sure so now is the time to stroke it IMOP , and want a billet crank anyway so the cost is about six's . The hard part about comparing parts is there is now way to know that they have ( the trucks in question ) done it all right , know how to set up a truck , am running the truck full tilt , know how to tune it , have the right combo of parts , ect . i know the stroker motor will make more power , just dont know how much , could only be 30 hp but i think its still a good idea if you buying all the same parts anyway for strength purposes .

Nobody to my knowledge has ran a motor with as many cubes from bore only as we've built.

Will it gain any hp? I'm sure it will. The bore size allows you to run larger valves which are helped a bunch on the big bore motor heads we made. With the increase in airflow we can fuel it harder.

How much power? It's hard to test two engines back to back like that. But pulling is a sport that requires you to bring the biggest stick and if there are areas that allow you to gain power you better take advantage of them.

Back on topic though :)

I'm going for big bore + RPM in the rail/truck.
