Pick up :coolspot:

, not enough rails to even have competition to race , but wicked fast pickups sale parts , because what you build for the race truck can hit the shelves for the general public, and with the race truck as proof of what they can do then pretty easy sale !

That's what I'm thinking :happy2:

That motor has a stroker crank in it as well.. It's actually 454 cubes. I think I'll just go with a 7.0L for the rail and run some serious RPM's :D :D

True... But man it's so nice to be able to lean over the side and work on it vs crawling all over a pickup.

What is the bore? Who is making the pistons for it?

Is that block sleeved?

Yes. It's the second block we've done. They're high quality centrifugally cast ductile iron. We have plenty of wall left in the sleeve on that block. We can get a 4.250" piston in there easily. But I would want a full fill for that.

That motor, like I said has a stroker crank in it from SoCal and is using the Mahle forgings with custom bowls for us.

These are meant for competition and would want at least a half fill in the block. The sleeves are installed very meticulously and all steps have been taken to relax the stress in the block (Meta-Lax).

Sounds cool. I like the idea of using bore to increase displacement.

With the SoCal stroker crank and max bore you possibly could have a 7.7 Liter or 472 CID Block.. but I haven't gone that far out with one yet. It's going to get thin, but the ductile iron sleeves are more stable than the stock wall and will hold roughly 10,000 psi cylinder pressure at the current bore size. I'd be comfortable thinning it out more for a drag motor or dedicated sled puller.

We're using SoCal Billet mains and our Laser Cut .750" girdle with custom ARP Studs.
