Thats were I tried your part # and could not find them. Wanted to see if they are the same as these https://www.dmaxstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=76&products_id=133

i think these might be the ones looks like the same part # except p instead of 9

One thing i found odd about the discrition is it say's they are dyno tested for maximum weight transfer ? def not what we need . Unless they are quit stiff when maxed out on settings .

i have ran the mx6 not the resy though , they were pretty good for the rear . they would not go terribly stiff but worked good for most situations . i am really thinking i need the rear qa1's now i love the fronts so far .

I would think you would want the rears also,Since we are really AWD I dont see the reason for the rear to squat that much just enough to add some weight to the back tires.and not lift to much weight off the front end.

Wow !! well I just got back from some boost launches (@15psi) and i must say these are the best shocks I have ever ran. I was wrong earlier they have 17 adjustment settings not 12. the front end stays planted. tire spin seams to be more but not too bad. very happy :ban-hump:

i can see using these in a 2wd for weight xfer :D

both drag and sled

i think these would work well for 2wd and 4wd they are quite soft on rebound on the lowest settings . to be truthful there is enough adjustmant in mine to fit any application i could think of ...time will tell wether they help 60's but i think they will . I am happy enough with other aspects of the shocks that it wont matter because if stiff isnt good i know i got the spectrom covered and will have what ever setting is going to produce the best results for what ever i am doing . will have some track data next friday.

given the application and shock type.

Who rebuilds them? where can we get the parts or is it R and R? Any indication how long it's willing to fight the torsion bar?

Thanks for posting info.

not shure on rebuilding other than sending to QA1 but yes they are rebuildable . i dont think the shock cares wether its a torsion bar or a spring it is simply slowing movement and so far it doesnt seem to be working them real hard .

one thing to note ... i had to drive my truck without front shocks for a day because i sold my other ones and these were not here yet , i was suprized how soft the spring rate on the torsion bar was once the shock was out of the way though still alot of weight moving around . i will be curious as well as to how they hold up . QA1 wasn't to worried about me using them on my diesel for drag racing / DD . what are your thoughts ?

how is your 4link working out ?

Great info, thanks. Check out Alstons stuff as well.

as for the link? well... its set up 60/40 on the street, nicer ride than stock no spring wrap not even a jiggle.. duh? Cool factor? It gathers a small crowd where ever i take it.

Heres the less than adequate news... I need more tire, alot more. I can't get the power to the ground because it won't bite, forcing the shocks/link/leverage to react/apply/multply. 0-60 is at 5 secs but it could be better. Given i have no springs i can tuck 20" of tire, just need to find the rim.

So to this point its fine, Thanks.

did you build it to have multiple bar connect points to change the instant center and such ? i have a software program for designing 4 link's and its crazy how instant center changes with moving up/down mounting holes . i will build one one day i think it is the best setup , just a little gun shy of spending the money and have it not work out  , that and my fabrication skills are just ok... stuff i build is plenty strong but not always pretty :D.

I have a set up similiar to this, adjustment isn't an issue.

http://www.cachassisworks.com/iwwidb.pvx?;multi_item_submit

I can say moving a bar is a MASSIVE change, quarter turns and half turns have an impact, even when testing in 4 wheel drive.

If you wanna do your own, very cool, keep in mind most of this stuff is designed for track on a +/-3500 car with lets say roughly 1500 HP.

If you use this stuff on a 6000 lb truck with 1500 lbs of TQ stuff will wad up like tin foil, keep in mind the longer the vehicle the longer the link arms. All my axle plates are doubled, HUGE rod ends, added bracing, 1/4 wall or thicker tubing etc. It's a pro job IMO, find a crusty bastard who used to run 10.5 cars.

Good luck Dude, Sorry to take this OT. PM me if you like.

EDIT- link is no good sorry.

I just picked up a set of qa1 R series pn#hal-rc15389 they only have adjustable rebound , but that is all I'm interested in. Ill be pulling with them this weekend. they only cost 139.$ so far I'm very impressed with them looks to be a must for drags and pulling.

well pulled with them yesterday and they felt grate. they really slowed down the front end lift and helped hook up.

for those interested in the rear shocks

the stock specs are
colapsed length 16"
extended length is 26"

these are double adjujstable and should work great for guys running a drop shackle 2-3 "
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=HAL-DTC1539P&N=700+115&autoview=sku

cant seem to find some single adjustables in stock length . might be safer to get some rancho's for the rear if you dont want the double adjustables .

if you plan on a lower drop in the rear like 4-5 " they are more options for shocks in the single adjustable and double .
