I ordered the Duramax compression tester adaptor today. I guess I'll know next week how the compression is
Mine hazes some on first start up but I don't have the fuel heater or IAH hooked up. I hope its not rods....
I have 2 lb7s. One is my street truck that I'm talking about in this thread(specs in sig) the other one I use just for pulling. The puller has no fuel heater no intake heater and glow plugs are disabled. I fired them both cold at the same time the other day(puller took a couple extra cranks) and the street truck was smoking so bad I could barely see the front of my house and not even a puff out of the puller. So i think it's gotta be internal?
I have made it a habit to use 2 stroke oil and Stanadyne in every single tank of fuel. whether its in my truck or in Jon's truck, It helps a lot. Less smoke and a little better mpg. Also found it to lessen the lope caused by a worn out FPR
I never once in the life of this truck used an additives but I guess im a believer now. Weres the best place to get standyne? what kind of quantity do you use?
my gm compression tester adaptor finanlly came in today.I just finished the compression test on the left bank

Phew. The past two days I have really been looking at my options and this is definitely one option. Any other ideas?

Maybe I am being a dummy here, but it looks like there is no reason to do the other side. You have a bad hole at 360psi, or was that a typo?
