I just put down 982hp at 4,600RPM on my motor which is still running strong with these pistons. Outside air was 87 degrees, underhood temp 110.

I've been driving around for about a year on this config without having dynoed, just found out it's right around 1,000hp. On the dyno I made less boost on the atmospheric charger than I've seen on the road at 100+mph in the past (indicated by the autometer elite "upper warn" function), so they have definitely been subjected to more than 1,000.

These pistons have about 45-50,000 miles on them now, including a couple of cross country trips, about 20 hooks on the sled in the last 2 years, and 3 dyno days.

What's the most hp made on these? They look very promising for high hp. Iirc I read somewhere that mark has some sled pullers using them in the 1200+ hp range?

I just dynoed 982hp on these and that was at 87 degrees outside air temp and less boost than I've seen while sled pulling or launching on the road. I don't know if I can claim 1200hp but definitely north of 1,000.

Technically right now the record for the cast ovals is 1763hp 2453ftlbs @3800rpms with triples on the engine dyno at just over 100psi boost and 1700degrees! Proved that the cast oval pistons beat the ARP headstuds in holding power as they couldn't keep the heads down.:thumb:

Which model headstuds were they? And that is mighty impressive.

I will let Mark share who's motor it was if he wants to but Yes they were just the ARP 2000. My motor is the same as the one Mark is talking about but with ARP 625+ studs. If all goes well we will be testing tomorrow!

As long as testing goes good tomorrow I will be at Indy. I won't have a hood because its not done yet but I don't think anyone will mind. Haha

The total height varies a small amount, but crown to base of skirt is about 2.86"

Rod pin center to crown is about 1.9" depending on protrusion.
