Since the real problem was more mass over the pin, would adding the lip back in help improve swirl and combustion and therefore make more power? Maybe the FEA program would answer this best as to the strength part?
I can't see putting the lip back on for heat to build up on and potentially still crack. Maybe they wouldn't but i know I wouldn't put them in my truck.
What's the most hp made on these? They look very promising for high hp. Iirc I read somewhere that mark has some sled pullers using them in the 1200+ hp range?
Not everyone talks about what they are doing. I know at least one customer is north of 1500 with a set at cast pistons. The guys with forged don't talk much.
