I have 2005 2500hd with efi live with dsp5. I threw p0746 last night. Had a shop look at it and said the pressure controll solenoid was stuck off? They reset the dtc. Do i need to worry or should i get it rebuilt? Just get it serviced? Idk what to do with it.. suggestions? Please and thanks.

P0746 is a slipping clutch that is controlled by trim solenoid A. It's not the solenoid.
Simply stated; you don't have enough trans for the amount of power you are running. Resetting the code is like putting a band aid on a large gash. You no longer see it, but it's still there and will get worse.

I would avoid any tune after the first limp. Even a small tune will sneak up on you and bite you.

Throw Mikes line upgrade and a shift kit at it. Flat tire your converter flow valve. Even with stock clutches your trans will be ALOT better!

Ohhhh boy. Been there before. Have any idea what parts they installed? Have they done Allison rebuilds before?

If you didn't before you need to now!!!! Find out what exactly is going on & what their plan is to fix it.

Of course it isn't shifting right, they installed new clutches with different clearances than your old ones had. The tcm has no idea the trans has been refreshed. It still thinks it has X amount of time to fill/release a clutch pack when in fact it has Y amount of time now...

If this shop has built allisons before, they should know this.. Relearn and fast learn.
