Thanks for all the replies guys. I'm not going to do anything crazy with this truck. Maybe break 1k horsepower, get a low 10 second pass, then turn the power back down to maybe 650 for the street. A 3388 cam should be fine. I might end up switching to a 6480 cam if anything, but there's a 99% chance I'll keep the 3388 in there.
Mark Broviak has a very similar truck (white lightning) and he's running these pistons in like 15.5:1. Why so low? I don't know a whole lot about compression ratio and it's effect on performance, but I would think with a bigger charger on a daily driven truck, you would want more compression to spool the turbo faster? Not sure if any of this is correct, just thinking out loud I guess.
