That blows... Literally... It come apart and clog everything up?

No. I caught it early. It started acting strange on high idle a few days ago. Then I noticed it wanting to load up after it’s warm when you’re on the brakes. It still drives and locks up fine.
Was it your 1058 chris

Yep. 55k miles on it. I think all the highidle this year didn’t help.

Will the trans actually hold with the solenoid mod on a max effort tune? Or is this like a "once in a blue moon run it on a max effort tune and pray for the best" type of scenario?

My 15 did fine, no issues in the 58k I had it. It was deleted at 5k I think, I set it on max effort and took it off it a few times to pull boats to Florida. I had a lift pump, full deletes and solenoid mod, truck was solid and very strong, I haven't deleted my 16 yet only bc I like how quiet it is. The deleted LML's seem extra loud to me compared to the LMM or lbz...

the c3's will get full main line pressure now instead of control pressure like the older years and the solenoid helps give you all that pressure but at the end of the day, you still are on 4 clutches in there and these clutches are not meant for abuse. the LML also wont limp as easy as the older trucks as it will instead start pulling power back if it senses slight slip. the trans and ecm will work well together to keep you from killing it quickly but this means you leave alot of power left on the table with the stock trans.

Removed my fender flares. There was all kinds of stuff that fell out of them upon removal!

My friend has a 2017 Honda CR-V and wanted to compare AWD systems, so I got my 2003 Suburban with the AWD transfer case conversion, and we played around in a parking lot.

We were both surprised to find that the Suburban actually brakes better than the CR-V, despite the extra mass. He has traction control, so he can get off the line more consistently, but when coming to a stop, the Suburban's ABS appears to work much better.

One thing led to another, and then there were donuts.

And Quadrasteer is still kicking ass and taking names. Even when not doing a donut, I can out-turn the CR-V easily.

Interesting. It's a shame the quadrasteer didn't do better it was awesome. I loved the burb I drove that had it.

Went out to glamis for our annual guys trip. Buddy took some sweet pics last night before loading up to head home today.

Then on the way home, we started heading up out of Blythe up the hills there. Nothing major, maybe 4-5% max for a few miles. Enough to slow truckers and anything underpowered down. Getting near the top cruising at 70mph in 5th and see a new dually L5P jump in the high speed lane to pass me with a toy hauler very similar to mine. He’s doing 75 at best. No one in front of us so I let him get his nose ahead of me and I roll into the throttle to stay in 5th. Soon as I do, he gets into it and it’s a drag race. I wasn’t quiet WOT but close, was keeping egt’s at 1300 as we went. I pulled right around him without issue and put a good trailers length on him before shutting down at an undisclosed speed amount. Slowed back to 70 and let him cruise by. He had quite the distraught look on his face as he went by the final time. Buddy and I just giggled lol.

It’s times like these that I love this truck. 17 years old and still kickin ass
