Friday, i pulled the truck outside for a bit to add some more preload to the front coilovers. springs are getting tired after 4-5 years now. Ill have to change to a new spring ive wanted to try. had my daughter out helping me, shes 2.5 now and i swear she grabbed every greasy thing she could, tie rod ends, ball joint boot, and hitch ball. she had an allen wrench and was telling me how she fixed the front end and that she wanted to help add more pre-load. she tried :D. spent more time cleaning the grease off her so we could go to the wife's school fair than i did working on the truck! :roflmao:

Cleaned off the dirt and slapped some lipstick on this pig!
I really don’t like polishing and waxing because I find all the imperfections and my OCD goes to a new level lol
It was nice to spend some time with the old gal
It’s only been 2 years since her last detailing like this :D

Sanded some surface rust off the bottom of the frame where I high-centered on a whoop a while back. Rattle can primer and satin black paint and now I no longer twinge when I get under her. Need to see about having the tranny flushed and refilled...

Thanks guys! I sand blasted the frame and had a friend of a friend paint it with some kind of semi gloss. It holds up pretty decent to hammer strikes and such. The cross members, all suspension pieces, and misc brackets were blasted and painted with kbs rust seal. That stuff is the shit, you can beat it with a hammer and it won't chip :thumb:

Finally installed the Boost Auto module I've had for quite a while now.

I also changed the door hinge pins and brackets. That was a PITA.

Replaced front drive shaft u joint due to bad vibration over 45mph. Hit the track to test it out with some 4wd launches. Ran a 13.6 on stock trans and a 100hp tune.

Took the LB7 Quadrasteer Suburban and went to grab a 2014 LML to swap into my uncle's 1997 F350 CCLB. Got the whole truck harness and most of the modules. Never tuned a LML before, but I think I'll figure it out. Should be a fun project.

That looks like fun! Make a thread I’d be interested to see that happen

Swapped out the factory steering box. It was leaking from the pitman arm seal. I now have a new blue top box installed. While I was at it I also changed out the upper steering shaft and the lower steering column bearing. I would rather change the box again before I have to tackle the lower column bearing again.

Really the column comes out of the truck in like 20 minutes if that.
