Trans died today. kinda out of the blue and by no means a simple fix.... gunna have to actually tow it out to mikes.

nope but i have a feeling the sump filter is packed now. just before my big trip over labor day, i did a full check up on the truck (fluid levels and smells, oil change, lube, check over suspension and steering) and the fluid looked great and she shifted great. parked it till oct 21st with some drives to work here and there, no issues on a day trip to the dunes and back (400 miles). parked till today and horrible tie ups when up shifting or down shifting, converter stayed locked even at a stop (almost killed teh engine then unlocked), limped about a mile from work, reverse clunks and shutters, first gear shutters and nuetral trys to move the truck, pump whines bad and there are some not so good noises going on. P0776 and P0742 when it limped. checked fluid level at work and it was 1/2" below the hot cross hatches but burnt to hell. If i get time, i may drop the pan but im not planning on it. its not good either way

i was pissed at first but ya know, im hard on the old girl. i have to expect these things.
na ill just take the whole thing out there. i dont have the time to R&R it. i could take it to my buddies shop here that has the machine but just more time i dont have. Get it done at mikes, swap the tow rig i use to get it out there for mine on the way back and get the tcm learned for my Thanks Giving trip

I waxed mine 10 days ago. Bout all that's happened besides fuel it up and drive to and from work.

I pooped a piston in original engine with a 4094. So found a smoking deal on a junkyard take out engine stock also and did compounds and bigger injectors hoping for safer tuning and longer live and it blew a cylinder in under 4 months. So now time for a fancy bottom end and put her for sale lol

I'm sorry I'm new to this and haven't figured out how to work things on here and didn't want to mess up someone's forum but I had a question my last oil change I used two quarts of Lucas oil stabilizer and started getting a engine whine couldn't figure out what was causing it and last oil change I drained the oil and had fine metal looking particals in the oil so I just put my normal oil back in and the whining stopped did I cause damage to the engine
