It’s got 288k on it. I know I’m an idiot but hey I’m thrilled with the thing. One owner and it looks brand new. The guy drove from Pa To Charlotte constantly. Was a steel worker. It’s staying stock. Looks great as is. And no mods means no money.
Lol staying stock :roflmao: come on you know those things can break into the 12s pretty easy with a tune intekeband exhaust?
They are fun trucks. I had a 15 3.5 ecoboost. With a 93 octane custom tune it was scary fast. I loved mine, I just pull a gooseneck pretty regular and it didn't have the weight or the brakes to feel safe when loaded. Nice thing is even if you do grenade it a motorcraft crate engine isn't crazy expensive. Less than $4k if I remember right, been a while since I looked.I got a pretty sweet deal on a f150 platinum with ecoboost. High miles tho. And it’s more practical starting a family... maybe I’ll do a thread about it here. How the high mileage ecoboost holds up
Thanks guys! I really like it. And yeah it’s a dang ford but out of the three half ton options I have to say it’s the one I like the most. Not a dodge fan and the Chevy and gmc same year just look plain to me. Yeah it’s staying stock lol it runs decent as it is and with the miles I’m not pushing my luck. That’s the whole reason I got it. Something I won’t be tempted to mod as I start a family. Pretty sweet Deal. Got it for 16,500 out the door. Nada was 22k even with the miles. Gave me a pretty great trade on my duramax as is. And enough equity that I got enough to pay everything off and have one payment
Sounds like you made out well, then. Now to buy crib, stroller, car seats, etc etc etc.....
I’m really surprised I haven’t got more hate for this lol I’ve looked and looked and looked on these motors and they seem extremely reliable.. so I’m happy with it. And I don’t wanna push a high mileage motor too far over stock lol
I’ve read that a time or two. Something about the timing chains stretching. At 288k tho I’d assume if it was gonna go wrong it woulda already. I was thinking about starting a thread about it in the gasser section and keeping it updated with mileage and stuff. Anyone interested?
