Finally washed the all the window chalk off mine today from when I got married 2 weeks ago. Pulled the empty nitrous bottle off as well.

Little outside of my comfort zone, but hey, only one way to get out of the box. I stripped all the unused wires and plugs out of the engine harness, and started rewrapping it.

I was having some chatter in the front end over bumps and figured the bushings were bad in the lca’s. I got those changed out and put new shock and bumpers on. The drivers side has been missing for about a year. It just crumbled and fell apart. Truck feels real solid up front now. I have to get it aligned again as the inside ribs on both fronts are shot. Here’s a shot of the old bumpers.

Finally threw some more fuel and air at the silver gorilla. Big thanks to my buddy Ethan at wiles diesel performance for letting me use the shop and helping me with everything. Matt miller for answering some dumb questions and blake for getting it dialed in. Having some issues loading the tcm will address those tomorrow. Need to do something with that coolant line on the degas, and call Scott Monday and get a rail plug that wasnt in the kit. Put a temporary fix in its place and it made it home and drove fine. No leaks anywhere, spools well for what it is even without the tcm tweaks, and feels pretty rowdy the little bit I laid into it.

Dropped it off at my buddy’s body shop for some rocker panels and cab corners. Says I’ll have it back by Friday.

Cab corners bubbled last year and now have some on both can corner and rockers in the rear have holes. What was your buddy charging if you dont mine me asking?

$1,850.00 He used to paint race cars for Richard Childress before going out on his own. I know he will do it right and not try to cut any corners, other than the cab corners
