Replaced two of the three exhaust hangers, got a lovely rattle from the exhaust hitting the rear shock so hope this fixes it

Lesson to be had here, never buy a regular steel setup when you live in the northeast. Friggen ball of rust on every clamp

I painted my mbrp stainless black and then used antiseize on the joints and on all the threads for clamps...seems to be helping so far but mine was rusting as well. Buddies aluminized is just dirty

I will snap a pic of the one clamp later when I replace the last hanger. Its more rust than it is a clamp anymore. Pretty sure the whole exhaust is just rusted together and thats how it seals anymore.

But, glow plug module should be here this afternoon, and ordered a new key fob finally :thumb:

I just want a new 5" and a new hanger by the trans. I'll keep my mbrp muffler and tip but not impressed with their exhaust. I need to figure out some stuff this summer when I actually care to work on the truck

I think mine is mbrp dp as well. It sounds super good but there is just no getting it to fit right or stay tight or vibrate. Stupid front pipe vibrates all the damn time on the torsion bar crossmember.

Pull it all apart and use never seize on all the slip/pipe joints, clamps, all the threaded nuts and bolts. Adjust and evenly tighten them down, after driving for about a week or so recheck all the nuts and bolts.......

Done that like 4 or 5 times mike. Also have never seize/anti seize at all the joints and nuts/bolts...dp clamps are so tight that any more and they will strip

When I put my exhaust on we put a one inch tack on all the joints. It hasn't come apart/moved and I can always use a cutoff wheel and grind the weld out if/when I need to remove it.
