Swapping turbo stuff, the compressor wheels are the same design, but the FMW is 5 Grams heavily. I am hoping that the cover flows better, from a visual stand point it looks to flow way better. I hope it's not a waste of money, but I have a feeling that the turbine is the real benefit.

That reminds me to call htt

I've had an oil leak since I put this engine in. PITA. Changed all kinds of gaskets but could never stop or really isolate the source.

Lately, it had been getting worse. Truck was on the rack for new U-Joints, and this time I could see the source. Weeping around one of the plugs in the filter adapter. Ah HA!

Tightened the plug a turn. Went for a ride. Now it is leaking worse! Removed plug, doped and reinstalled. Test ride. Now really bad. Back on the rack. Start engine. Aww $hit. The adapter housing is cracked. Must have been from the start. Made it worse when I snugged up the plug.

I happen to have an extra housing on the shelf. Debating if I should pull the engine to replace or drop the front axle and try and do it in the truck.

its not all that bad even with the diff in and the engine still installed. just makes a mess. i know merchant now has the inside o-ring you couldnt get before so splitting them apart isnt a big deal anymore when you get it out.

Waiting on valve springs, I sent Chavis the wrong address..

Then I'll have a long block assembled ready for the truck.

Ive also thought about this. Possibly a junction under the hood for +/- leads and allow spots for good ground sources.

There also is a wire running up to the block. How has everyone else wired up the disconnect switch? Currently I have the battery and alternator on one side and the starter and fuse block on the other. Hopefully if needed it will kill a running truck.

Looked a little deeper red on prismatic powders but it's grown on me :thumb:
Damn I like that color...what is it? I've got cherry illusions under my hood but I'd rock a turbo that color with my red piping

Stuck injector?
Among other things yes, it's needed injectors for a while. This poor truck hasn't caught a break since 2006. Big ppe tune, big tires, mud, regularly tows heavy with big tune and tires. It's already had heads done once about 6 years ago and it shredded a flex plate about 4 years ago. All 3 times towing extremely heavy with the ppe race tune. No idea how the trans has held up.
