Wow that is awesome. I'm not sure if you are jokin or not about movong the motor. One would think you would have had to with keeping the radiator up front.

The motor and driveline are in their stock locations. The radiator is also in the stock location...
Oh hell I can hear the rumors starting now:rofl:
Tim did rob ever sell his old weight bracket? And did y'all build the new weight box? Got any good pics of it?
Not that it matters, but unless it has been moved from where it is in the picture, the radiator appears to be about 4" forward of the stock location. The motor and driveline are in their stock locations. The radiator is also in the stock location...

It is forward about 2 1/2" from where it sat on the intecooler. When we called our association and the schied diesel guys, their answer to it was they wanted it in the stock vacinity. They stated that they did not want a half radiator, or one that was mounted in the bed. When we told them that it was the stock radiator and that we moved it to where the intecooler normally sat, they said that there was no problem with that.
It does look forward, but the mounts we made for the intecooler are the ones that we are using for the radiator. Just makes for a really tight fit. We originally were going to move it another 2 inches forward, but was trying to be as close to stock front to back.
I'm in the same boat Matt! Another part of why I'm back to going with a a body swap on mine rather than just building engine mounts for the 83 chassis.
The competition is tight, and though I don't pretend to think I'll make any of the top trucks sweat with my fierce badass stock bottom end LBZ :roflmao: I just didn't want to put all this time and money into this truck to be turned away and not able to play on some stupid fuggin technicality like that. I think with conversion trucks, the Tech shoulw and likely will go by the "spirit of the rules" rather than necessarily strap your ass to the T on every little detail. Like stock engine & radiator location.
Those are to prohibit you from moving the engine to a more advantageous location for weight (especially important for the 2wd guys and likely where this rule originated back in the day?) and to be sure you use a stock radiator in the engine bay and remote mount it underneath or in the bed.

Now post some pics of this conversion truck brah!!! :happy2:
