I am not picking on David. I am only questioning results this soon. I worked with Raybestos on this clutch and have high hopes for them as well as everyone else.

Is the price difference between the raybestos and altos (assmuning the raybestos test out fine) going to be a large enough margin that someone will choose the rays over the altos? Or is it going to be one of those, "for $100 more you can get the altos that have been proven for years" kind of things?

So far no one has paid anything for these clutches. They are in many shops across the country for testing. Don't know what the price will be yet. We don't know if these clutches will be in kit form or sold seperately.

Ok. Well id appreciate any updates. I have ZERO confidence in the Red Devils i have now and it would be badass if their was a more affordable option for clutches.

i understans some people might not like what mike L posted... but mike would not just make up a bunch of b.s. Mike is an upfront honest man. people call mike and ask for tech advice and he helps people even if they never bought anything from him...

Mike asked questions that made Dave look stupid. David knows what he is doing, I did not see anything wrong or premature with anything he posted.

This is the main reason DTS does not post on this forum! Sad to because David is very smart when it comes to this Duramax/Allison game! I believe they are the shop to take the Allison to the next level.

Thanks for the input on the new clutches, too bad you had to stay quiet about it due to this type of response.

What's wrong with questioning results and test methods?

Absolutely nothing. Just came off cocky,

If you have ever met Mike or talked to him you'd find out that he's straight out and doesn't hold back or beat around the bush. He's also very honest too and if there's something cheaper that will work just as good he'll point you in that direction and tell you take your wife to dinner with what you just saved.

x2. When it comes to something hes sure about or knows about, he has no problem speaking up.

No why would I call them:confused: Obviously if it takes less pressure to keep them from slipping, the clutches are grabbing better by themselves. You should make the call and tell us your results...

Listen champ...Mike did my transmission 95,000 ago...I don't know what clutches, nor do I care....Get it???

No, I don't get it. That means little to nothing in this thread, I'm sure plenty of others have built transissions that have gone that mileage. I'm glad you are happy with the performance and relieability of your personnal transmission though.
