Workstock went 2.5 here, josh. Last year a few trucks were 650+rwhp with stock, supposedly unmodified chargers. Not stock appearing cheetahs.

My understanding is at least one sanctioning body is allowing billet wheel 2.5 chargers and others require cast wheels. IDK the rules about the MAP groove or stepped covers yada yada yada.

I do know early LAST year there were trucks in IN 2.5 class (single cp3 also) that made 750+rwhp. I have no idea if that was a billet wheel charger or not but I'd say so. So yeah, I think there are a few trucks around here with close to that kind of power.

What do you all think of this? My initial reaction is I LOVE it but I need to see what the rest of that panel the mirror is bolted to blacked out from the side.

That mirror set up looks pretty awesome! Is this yours, or something you found online?

That mirror setup is one a guy posted who is doing a Cummins conversion. I was intrigued so I saved the pics to ask friends and ponder on whether I'd like to attempt something similar. :cool2:

Be interesting to see how he finishes the inside. I love the way it looks but those vents are priceless!!

Just picked up a rust free '84 K30 3+3 4x4, 454 today! Plan is to do a body swap as well...if you've begun, I may have a few questions for you.

Currently I'm looking for a 4wd duramax donor truck, was thinking ECLB or CCSB or CCLB, what are your thoughts? It has a 8' flatbed on the '84 now, but wouldn't mind have a shortbed either.

A ccsb dmax truck wheelbase is a few inches longer than a ccsb square body truck. An ecsb is a little short (4-6" or so. I'd have to check my notes/measurements to be exact). I believe a eclb & ccsb are within an inch or so of each other. I have two donor trucks. 1 is an 06 2wd drw eclb that I'm abandoning in lieu of a recently acquired 01 4wd ecsb donor. Like posted previously, the 06 was going to be ok for building a puller but much more work to go 2wd to 4wd with an alli so I found the 02 when I decided to ditch the pulling dreams & just get a fun street truck that the wife could drive.

Isn't an eclb 4 inches longer wheelbase than a ccsb?

Could be, Ed. I honestly can't remember. I don't have a ccsb. I do have an eclb and ecsb that I can measure. For some reason I feel like I remembered the dmax ccsb trucks are a little longer than an ol' square body chebby long bed cut down to short bed. Heck, maybe they aren't? It's been a few years since I was measuring of chassis (how do you spell the plural form of "chassis"??? ) LOL

I think it is like the word "moose". There is no difference between the plural and singular version. I could be mistaken though. Been a couple years since my last comp class

Thanks for the info, any plans to sell the 06 then?

Its all dismantled. Sold the 2wd Allison & steering wheel & harnesses since I intended to use the zf6. Its just a chassis & engine. Johnboy has my harness. Idk what I'm doing with it.
