Well I couldnt verify a leak , re-assembled truck and the problem is still there , going to pull the injectors this weekend and replace /inspect each one , not sure were else to go , its getting worse , at idle now when i command 180 mpa i only hold 22k when command is 26k , i put each cp3 on a switch and when i max out 1 cp3 it only hits 21k , tested both pumps seperstly and they both have simalr performance so i dont think its a pump ,when i max out both i only get 24k so it is def leaking , it has to be an injector , hopefully a visual inspection will show something :(

Cracked injector body, a local truck just went through this, he borrowed my TECH II, removed both upper valve covers, reinstalled the lines and ramped the pressure up at idle and found the #6 injector body was cracked.

His fuel was trickling into the oil and lowered his oil psi.

Good Luck.

You need a tech 11to remove the valve covers?:D

I have a bad feeling it's a cracked inj also but why if the valve covers removed would trent not see the fuel come up around the cup and body? I mean wouldn't it blow thru those 2 rings like nothin and come up and flood the valve
cover area?

I've never personally seen a cracked inj bit would it just get worse and worse as fuel washes by the crack? Wouldn't it be visible to the eye if he pulls the stick out?

Trent, when you pulled the valve covers and ran the truck, did you do anything to ramp up pressure? We had a CR Dodge come in the other day with a leak on one of the injector lines. It wasn't visible at idle, but when I unplugged the FPR to ramp up pressure, there was a geyser where the injector line hooked into the cylinder head.

Was it visible Tony ? could you guys see it leaking ? I didnt see anything on mine ?

Trent. Have you return tested from each head?

Bryce

I got the exact specs from GUY this morning and will be doing a official return rate test .

I unplugged the 2nd cp3 regulator , ran the the truck for several minutes with 22k pressure , nothing visual . I am sending out a oil sample to be tested , drained 6-8 quarts out of it last night it took 4 to fill it full again just not certain i didnt over fill it initially, am going to check it this morning for a viscosity comparison , I never though it would be so hard to figure out if there is ACTUALLY fuel in the oil  , It is pointing to injectors in every direction , just trying to verify so i dont do them and get it all back together and finds it it is still there .

Cool I was wondering if you needed specs for the return test. If you need any specs feel free to hit me up if you can't get ahold of your other source.

Also you don't really need to have an external leak to have an injector causing the issues but the return test will tell ya if that's the case.

Edu relay, you might want to let it run till the hoses are full then crank for 15 seconds with the relay out.

Heck, just letting Trent "borrow" them so he can get his truck to the track in time would be incredible.

Good luck T.

Damn I was hoping to log in today and see this was resolved. I sure hope it is just injectors Trent-just to get this issue out of the way and move on to the rest of the prep left that I'm sure you have left to do for Phoenix!
