here is a lsx head stud vs a bbc stud which is what we are using plus the extra 2 bolts per cylinder
meziere electric water pump
moral tie bar lifters.
melling oil pump
also switching to a complete hydroboost setup. squeezing every last ounch of hp out of this
you can see the extra bolt on the heads in the lifter window.
these will not be the final valve covers just covering the valvetrain
ran into a little problem , the way i have the regulator wont work as it hits the firewall so im going to bend some hardline up and make my own fittings on the rear passenger rail to push the regulator back a little . also going to have to cut the driver side fuel rail down to near the injector and cut a -8 an fitting and weld it to the rail . then use a 90 -8 female to hose then to the y. this is with the stock 105 amp alt , going to pick mine up tomorrow and make sure it will have a shot as its even bigger (200 amp) but should work . below you can see my issue with the smaller alt.
well the valve covers came in today .
got some work to do still ( figuure the best way to mount them as i have options with these mounts and need to make sure the wires i have will work )
pics
man the little things take forever. i keep saying this weekend but run into more things that need to be done. i didnt like the way the coil brackets were mounted to the covers so i made some changes. i tapped the braket mount in a different location so that i could move the coils up and not block the engraving as much . this way you can see the covers and hise some wiring behind them . below you can see how they were supposed to be mounted and now how they are mounted
well today should be launch. got everything pretty much done . with alot of help and thanks goes to 03caddypimpin , he has helped out so much with this swap . letting me make an absolute mess at his house .
also reynaldo aka chpspecial is also helping out a bit with the tuning and base file.
we did get to crank it over but the battery was really weak. so its charging and i had to go do some family business . i will be back in a few hours and hopefully driving the beast.
here are some almost final pics of the motor n/a
drove it home about 10 miles yesterday . it has some bottom end for sure. first time i have driven it with a stock converter since 2005.
