My trans has been out of my truck many times for various failures, now it is at a trans shop and I went to see the carnage today!! Burnt C2's C3's and I think C1's too. There was alot of stupid things wrong with it, just a heads up guys, just because Suncoast sells a kit doesn't mean it just goes in.......transmission guys build trannys so just leave it to them.

Sorry to hear.....

What is Suncoast going to do for you?

It was kit , I assumed from his post there were some install errors on his part in previous build ?

What did your torque limiting injection quantity table look like? I am worrying about my SCIII.

Why , as long as tunning is sound the stage 3 can take alot of abuse , I am still on a stage 3 .

You should be the ring leader of the "What has your Suncoast III done for you lately" club :D

So, with a kit Suncoast doesnt offer a warrenty on parts? Its the same parts that go into a trans right? part failure should = warrenty IMO. I dont want to turn this into a off topic mess like all the other threads either. I was simply asking him what Suncoast is going to do for him. Let him answer please.

I just seems that a lot of people have been burning up their built trans lately. I don't know if my tuning is sound though.

Im proabably dropping around 25-30mm3 on my WOT shifts, any more and I can feel it start to slow down a lot on the shifts. But the 50-80% throttle shifts worry me more. The WOT shifts feels smooth and fast, but the higher throttle shifts feel more drawn out, but it looks like im getting enough defuel in thoes areas.

Alot of companies need to be better about warentee's , and i agree if a part is proven faulty it should be replaced , the problems lies in that if there are issue with the install then the part will fail no matter how well its built and unless it was built by a "suncoast" installer i dont see how they could be able to warrenty it .

Not stiring the Pot , just a honest question . Will ATS warentee clutches in the DIY kits ?

No set defuel amount is right , the "feel " of the shift should be the deciding factor , wether it be no defuel or alot of defuel , as long as the shift feels good is all that matters .

Honestly, if you pulled the clutches out and took them to ATS and asked for the clutches to be replaced i would guarentee they would.

Now, if you call up ATS like a raging a$$ hole and yell at them and demand parts then probably not.

I have seen them replace parts in DIY kits several times.

And why did this turn into ATS/Suncoast again????? I was just asking the guy what Suncoast is going to do for him? BS

OK. I hate to get into these kinds of threads but BS.

I had exactly the opposite experience, as did a couple of my friends.

I was not a "raging ahole", and was polite and kept the problem private for over a year. They did warranty a DOA CoPilot and Converter, but no luck with clutches. Less than 10 passes at 425HP on the clutches. Factory defective due to bonding issues.

Don't post such stuff unless you are ready to break out your personal wallet to rectify such situations. Just post your own experiences with warranty, and don't guarantee anything unless you are prepared to honor it.

Guys I think the issue was the builder failed to pay close enough attention to detail. I am in no way bashing Suncoast the clutches burnt up because of other issues. I have been making about 475rwhp for over a year, I will post exactly what my issues were tomorrow when I go back to the trans shop. Thank god I have a parts 5 speed to rob the C2 hub out of, I have a feeling it would be BIG money for a new one.

What is Suncoast going to do for you?

Nothing and they shouldn't if there are no delaminated clutches.
As far as ATS. I had 9 failures with their clutches and they did nothing. Cost me big time.
They going to fix your screwed dampner install?

Your talking about the "delaminated clutches" issue that was years and years ago. ATS is way more advanced now and no its not BS. ATS will in fact warrenty clutches, i have seen it done personaly. As for your situation with them i was not there and cannot comment on it. I had a bad valve body one time and instead of tearing the VB off and giving me a new one they dropped the whole trans, stuffed a new one in and sent me on my way.

Again, talking about old clutches from years ago.

Like i said, It was installed correctly. I was there and witnessed it. I even double checked it a second time. So what does that leave for a conclusion? ATS will be in contact with guy and yes ATS is going to re-bearing the whole bottom end and fix any other issues:D

Again, like i already stated. I just wanted to know what Suncoast was doing for him (if there was part failure it needs to be warrentied)and look at what happens....This forum turns it into a ATS attack. I dont want to argue over this dumb BS anymore!
