So I decided to go with a DeRale remote fluid cooler for the trans fluid. Ive read alot about them and how it needs to be used as a puller fan which I plan on doing. Also seen how some have bypassed the heat exchanger and some have not. Seen them mounted in the bed, and seen them mounted in stock location and some mounted under the bed behind the cab.
My truck is used as a weekend warrior and at the track, and I do not tow with it at all.
I got the cooler with -10an fittings so I can use my Deviant lines and not have to switch anything out.
Looking for some info, tips, tricks and some pointers from guys who have messed around with stuff like this. Thanks for the help in adavance guys.

So the 2 mods I'm thinking of doing next is , either 3.42 gears front and back with a Detroit trutrac, or 150 or 200 over injectors. I'm thinking new sticks would be a better mod to go with instead of gears, even though I would eventually like to do both at the same time. Comments or concerns from the more knowledgable. Thanks in advance.

Nothing truck related but I took my oldest son (8) to do some circle track practicing.


He had a freaking Blast!:thumb:
Offset cockpits for lefthand turns.

Well track season has started here in Washington St, so I will be headed to the track tomorrow morning to test out the M&H racemasters and the raceline renegades that I bought late last year.
Hoping to squeeze out an 11 second run, which I think is possible with a better 60ft. Still on stock fuel, pulled all the seats out, and have a 1/4 tank of fuel. In the end I'm just hoping I'll be able to drive home.:roflmao:

Well 2 weeks ago when I went to the track had a younger fella wanting to buy some long bars. I told him mine were for sell. The next week he bought them and got them installed. So i went and bought some Caltracs with the money i got from him.
Got them installed over the weekend, and can't wait to test them out and mess with the preload to see what works best for my truck.

A little update. I installed a DHD lockup box the other day. Gonna put it to use this month on the 12th which is the next T&T.

Also getting rid of the tow mirrors and go with color matched sport mirrors. The tow mirrors I'm sending to Joe Lutz's son so he can put them on his duramax as a first duramax present from me.

Had the trans refreshened up by Scott last month and a looser converter put in as well and a hot flush of course.

Headed back to the track tomorrow to see if I can get a little more out of the truck, and hopefully improve on my time. I'll post back with the outcome later fellas.

Well I got a little faster tonight at the track. Got to use the DHD lockup box as well and worked perfectly. Here are some pics from the drag strip and my time slip.
