Got the shocks installed today on my truck. Haven't been able to take it for a drive yet though. Put new grade 8 hardware on as well.
Definitley can tell a weight difference between the KYB monomax and the Viking aluminum body shock.

Removed emergency brake shoes and components and removed the cables as well from the truck. Can't remember the last time I used it so it had to go. Lol

Russ, I just picked up a regular cab and am looking to do the same type of rear shock conversion. Do you mind sharing the PNs you used for the shocks you used in the front and rear?

Also, how are they riding?

Brad the shock's are totally dependent on your desired ride height. So the part numbers might vary. What I did was measure the ride height and then contacted Viking and told them what that was. Also told them what the mounting points were.

As far as quality of ride goes I have driven the truck to work in Seattle and back on I-5 and its night and day difference compared to the KYB Monomax shock's I had on before the Viking's.
Once I get them dialed in it will be even better.
I had to adjust the compression on the front shock's to be a little stiffer because of all that weight up there.

I'll update once I get to drive it again on the street and interstate

That I do understand. I will be running a 3" drop shackle in the rear and keeping the front stock height.
My front is lowered all the way down and here is the part number for the front shocks. Can't seem to find the part numbers for the rear.

Front's # D210-R

Does ceramic coating the polished wheels help quite a bit? I figured about the only thing to make them stay nice without polishing everytime they got wet was the sharkhide stuff.

I used CQuartz 3.0 on all my wheels weather polished or powdercoat. Makes easier to clean and protects from contaminents. I pretty much use it on everything that I want to help protect the finish on.
