You don't need to replace the seal unless it's leaking. Do you replace the transfer case seal every time you remove the rear driveshaft....??
You can apply loctite to the old nut and reuse it. I do it all the time without issue. But to each there own.....
Straps have to be replaced because the Ujoint caps are physically bigger. But there are only a few dollars.
I was just curious why someone would take a heavy duty driveshaft, with nice big Ujoints and spend the money to buy a hybrid ujoint that still has the smaller weaker 1410 caps when you can easily just swap the yoke. Obviously we're not going to agree on this Elephant and that's fine. But your not going to convince me that spending $30-$60 on a hybrid ujoint makes more sense then $150ish on a new yoke.
And BTW yokes cause a rat pinion seal leak more often then the seal in my experience as they get grooved......
