Ok.... So why don't you just swap out the rear yoke for a 1480 one?

GM 12471499 Pinion Yoke For 1480 Series U-Joint
I will eventually, but nothing was wrong with the one on my truck now so decided to save a few bucks and just do the u joint.
I understand. Just curious why you wouldn't do it all at once and be done. I didn't realize you could purchase a hybrid U joint like that.

Yokes aren't anywhere near that expensive if you know where to buy them. Plus swapping out yokes is easy. Just because idiots screw stuff up, doesn't mean it's difficult.

Where could I get a rear yoke at IOWA LLY? So you have a place. I could look at?
The 1410 yoke is about $125.00 the 1480 yoke is about $195.00 could that be the cost difference you're thinking about.? Some of us do and do not have access to jobber pricing and the above are readily available prices via the internet..:thumb:
Drivetrain America has the 1480 yoke with balancer for 109.09
Greensburg is where I get driveline stuff from. I don't get jobber pricing there. Same price you would get if you called there

Got bored so I put a shine on the driveshaft. Next week I'll be taking it to Driveline Northwest and have them swap rear 1480 u joint to my 1410/1480 combo u joint.
