Yea, I'm waiting on the big kit! Thinking about coupling the 4094 with a GT47 ?? Not wanting to go crazy with it but looking for 800+hp with driveability. I already have everything to support the power so what the hell.

have some pics ? I think its great you built your own kit but i would think just to get the flanges , pedistall , s480 with extended tip tech, alot of s/s tubing ,boots , clamps, gates, i would be at least 2500-3000 bucks never priced it out but ? Not doubting you just want to see what you were able to put together for 1600 bucks .
all the filter, tubing, flanges, wastegate, boots, clamps, header wrap, ect (small parts) cost me about a grand. The s472 cost me 400 bucks off ebay. It was a brand new take-off turbo off a john deere generator. I also spent $200 to upgrade it to an 80mm ( machining and wheel) I SAVED AND SHOPPED AROUND. I BOUGHT MOST OF MY STUFF FROM WWW.RACEPARTSOLUTIONS.COM

You will love the kit. Nathans larger charger is 80MM and should support 850RWHP no problem with the stock charger, sticks, and dual cp3's. I personally think the cheetah, or danevilles modded charger would help flow more air, and maybe equal DP better as well as drop EGT's more. Either way you will be happy with the twins.

Oh yeah Robs tuning is second to none. His street tune drives great, doesnt smoke, and makes 570+rwhp, and its pretty much imposible for the EGT's to hit 1100*, and his race tune rips.

a 66mm turbo will easily light a 80-95mm turbo;) thats 4718/5533 size
looking are over 1300hp worth of air...

if 900 is your goal get a s475/4708 equivalant charger and be done with it.

A 55 wont get you 1300hp in a twin set up nor will a 475/4508 get you 900hp (Maybe as a single but not in twins). A 91mm GT55 will get you in the 1100 range with proper wastegating and tuning. With a S475 your looking at about 750 and a GT45 around the low 800's.

an 80mm inducer (4708/s480) will put you over 1000rwhp with supporting mods in a twin setup

HMMM I think Nathan would be knowledable on this subject.

x2,

No offence Bu, but with all the armchair turbo experts out there who throw numbers around to sound knowledgable (im not talking about you, just most people in general), im gonna have to side with Nathan.

I dont know anything about turbos and I dont try to pretend I do either. I dont even know what trim or A/R is. Well I guess I know the definitions of the two, but how they are applied in airflow physics and engineering I dont have a clue.

From what I can tell so far, a GT42mag will go well past 800rwhp all by itself on pump fuel on stock sticks, and carry you past 4500 before fading.

I'll have the PPE twins (GT4202+GT55) on the dyno next Wednesday, but it's unlikely I will try and dynorace it. Goal is to get 900+ HP from 3000-4500 with controllable EGT's. Biggest concern is to avoid overspeeding the little charger. So far, it's only 60,000rpm at 40psi boost on 2400msec, but target boost is 75psi.

Should be doable. I know a LLY with standard twins that made 820 @ 70+psi. You will have much more airflow.

I got my MPI kit with tunes from Rob today:D. I'll be installing them tomorrow and have a stupid question. I got the GM battery tray to mount on the frame. The question is......WHERE???? There isn't much room on the inside. Does it go behind the torsionbar crossmember? Thanks in advance, John
