I have the MPI twins (normal set up with the stock charger) and love it! I tow 8000+ lbs with them up to 11,000 ft on 7+% grades without any issues or high EGT's, plus it's a daily driver my wife likes. I actually raced a Powerstroke pulling a small tent trailer up near the Eisenhower Tunnel (11,000+ ft) while pulling my toyhauler and went by him (using level 4 on my DSP 5) like he wasn't moving. Racing here at altitude is tough but I still smoke (only figuratively) all the street vehicles here including Camaro's, Mustang's and even a Z06 at Bandimere. DA that day was 9000' and I ran 12.9 at 105 with a average 60' of 1.85.

All in all, I recommend them for people that need to tow and want kick butt performance and mileage. My original tune is from Rob and I have been tweaking it since for my altitude here. I second the motion that Rob supply the tune.

(At least I think.. and as long as you have the supporting mods)

That is the general idea but remember Pat ran 10's with quite a bit less than 1000hp... Also Lots of Dodge Dyno Queens out there that run 1100hp but 11.4 ETs its all in truck setup

Is there a website for these kits?

maximized performance inc , the standard kits are on his website i think, but the big twin kits are just getting ready to come to the market no pics or anything yet . but are about the same as the normal twin kits just bigger . if your truly interested call nathan he's a good guy to talk with, nice guy , knows his shit, and doesnt talk down to you. but a bizzy guy not always easy to get ahold of but has always returned my messages .

thats what i like to hear.

i think i should be alright for the supporting mods rods, pistons, stage 2 heads, cam, 80% over injectors, billet main caps, 2x CP3s dont think im missing anything but you get the idea. i dont really even want a 10 sec truck to be honest i just want to do it once and be done.

Om the big kit the HTT or BD Supermax is used in the stock location. At least thats what nathan said when I talked to him a couple months back.

The Big turbo in that kit is well BIG. I know it wont fit into a 3.0 twin class like my organization, however I still plan to run them as I can run a bushing.

The small twins can be run on a stock motor. Just dont add twin CP3s.

They may seem pricey but its hard to build a kit yourself much cheaper. And nathans are bolt on and already have the R&D so why not just buy what he hastested.

I may try something different though as I like to be different, but most likely will end up with the big kit.
I BUILT MY OWN TWINS FOR LIKE $1600 BUCKS- IT CAN BE HAD FOR MUCH CHEAPER THAN 5 GRAND:eek:I USED A S472 WITH THE JOHN DEERE RACE COVER AND THE STOCK IHI. I ALSO UPGRADED THE 72 INTO AN 80 FOR $200 MORE.

i am afraid i would have to do it more than once  but i would get kicked off the track every time , but i would at least get 1 run in i dont want to do a roll bar so 11.49 is tops unless you get a bar and a few other things .

have some pics ? i think its great you built your own kit but i would think just to get the flanges , pedistall , s480 with extended tip tech, alot of s/s tubing ,boots , clamps, gates, i would be at least 2500-3000 bucks never priced it out but ? not doubting you just want to see what you were able to put together for 1600 bucks .
