Update: Don't have time to wrench on it anymore (took too much time off already) so I sent it up to Tony Rizzi in Washington Ga, originally wanted to send it to Evan but he's swamped anyway. He just got back with me. Trans stripped the hub and planet then spit metal fragments so the planet gears on the p2 chewed them up. The c4 is also toast, clutches were glazed. Waiting on billet parts and sungear to show up.

Still unsure as to what made it shift so hard but spinning in 4th when I eased into it then catching traction didn't help the situation. He hasn't broke the vb down yet so maybe a stuck valve?

Man it seams like everybody was blowing trannys in august... I did the same thing in august, blew the p2 planetary and c2 hub... when I took it apart I found a few shards in the c4's but that's all the damage it did luckily. Mine happened at wot @ 80mph when I hit a bump in the road as it ws trying to do the 4-5 shift. I was a little surprised at the little (.5-.75") of engagement between the planetary and hub. twisted the splines also. anyways...

Awesome turbo work Russ!!! Can't wait to gather the funds and order some spinny parts from ya! :thumb:

And gamudslinger88, that thing sounds nasty, nice truck man!! :woott: Are you wanting more of a whistle (less lb7 sound) at idle? I would think the tuner would tighten the veins up a bit... like when you whistle with your lips :roflmao: but what the hell do I know lol.

Thanks. Yeah I like the sound. The last tuner had them tighter and it looses the sound. I actually like the nice rumble mixed with the "hiss" whistle. At about 90% and up the turbo can't be heard.

Looks good Kevin!!!:thumb:
Looking forward to hearing how the new spacer and downpipe fit compared to the old one.

Thanks guys:thumb::thumb:
I spent a good amount of time on it.

Slowly but surely getting the bugs ironed out. Finished fixing my upper valve cover leak this morning and tackled the beat up down pipe that the shop so graciously left me with. Your spacer fit perfectly and after massaging the fire wall I didn't have to dent the down pipe any.

Got my updated tweeked tune a few days ago. I have to say this thing is getting better and better. I need to get better tires and the traction bars installed soon. It gets squirrely quick fast and in a hurry. I'll keep everyone updated with a video and hopefully soon a trip to the dyno.

Ok got my new tune on and a little bit of time feeling her out. This is kill tune after launch I rolled into half throttle to keep from smoking the tires, at 60 I rolled into full throttle with full throttle at about 80. Definitely going to have a problem putting power to the ground. This is on 305 all terrains no traction bars.

Sounds like it was getting down! Not sure if you dynoed it yet, but I would be willing to bet it would run harder if you set all shift points around the 3350 range.

Open trans tune:

Efi engine operation>Shift points>WOT RPM, and just set all cells to 3350 in all gears

It was shifting early because I was only half throttle at those points. It shifted closer to 3800 when I was WOT.

Ah makes sense! Bump the shirts down to around 3350... I haven't seen those chargers make peak power much above 3300, but 2800-3300rpm these vgt chargers eat it up! Just some stuff we have seen from our dyno.

Here is a launch at about 1 or 2 psi boost. Kept it very conservative on throttle then rolled into wot about 45 to 50. The run before I rolled into it sooner and lit the tires. This is with the nitto 420's and traction bars installed. Thoughts and opinions please.
