RANCHO RS999262 seem to work well 23.87 length, stock is 26.25

I have 2" drop schackles with stock size yellow Bilsteins and they ride like crap. I decided to get some Rancho 9000's and I sent an e-mail to rancho asking for a part number for a lowered shock but they took forever to answer. I got tired of waiting and ordered the stock height shocks. I haven't installed them yet so will they ride like crap too? I was going to set them on a low setting since I'm empty most of the time.

airlift 57215 mount on the outside of the frame.....I think they are intended for ford use but I made a set work. I bought them from summit.

Thanks i need to get some caddy handles like yours. Do they come in our color or do you have to buy some and have them paint matched?

Josh that pic is how the ford bags mount since their frame is more narrow than ours as well as not as tall. You will need one hell of an offset or big lift to clear those bags, I tried this a few years ago when I was starting to lower my lBZ and only the smaller 1500 bags seemed to work as they are a single bag but will only carry about 2000 lbs.

It may ride ok but u are only going to have about 2 or 3 inch of shock travel,u would be better off sending them back and buying shorter 1s

I thought I had read that stock length shocks wouldn't bottom unless you notched the frame for some serious drop.

I removed my OL springs, truck rides great. Just put my airbags back in and now the back end bounces around. I still need to lower the air from 15# and see if that helps but I think the bags are limiting travel like someone else said. I'll have to see if there's room to mount the bags inside the frame.

I was also going to plumb in a small reservoir with each bag to make the support more linear as load increases. I think it would help ride quality by reducing bouncing.

I didn't know that. All the one's I've dealt with on the Fords are the new style that mount inside the frame.

This is how mine came out.....the u bolts in the kit are for 3" wide leafs do I machined some spacers to keep them centered on the leaf....I'll get some better pics up. Definitely need some offset wheel combo. I'm running 2" spacers anyways so it should clear

Well, started on the GMC lowering it. FWIW stock height silver bilsteins will not work with a 3" drop shackle and no overload. The rear end of my truck is currently sitting on the drivers shock fully collapsed; passenger side still has about 4-5" of stroke left. Need to order those rancho's next week.

Will do. I still have to pull the bed off after it's running, put on DJM drop hangers and lower control arms. Cant do much more with it sitting on jackstands

I have a question for all the lowered crowd. I bought the II Crave wheels on my truck used and don't know the offset but The tires are rubbing slightly on the fender behind the tire. Anyone else having this problem or is it due to the off set? I can bend the metal back some for clearance but I hate having to do stuff like that on this truck.
