I bought MMLMM's dual set up, just haven't got it yet (hint, hint:hug:). Duals are allowed in the Pro Steet and Pro Mod class, just not in the street class. But you guys can jump a class if you like:D:hug:. Don't know if I will have the duals on right away. I want to get the turbo, manifold, injectors done first and see how things come. I'm gonna redo my front weight bracket before season too, so I got alot to do and haven't even started yet. oh well.

I don't know what I'm the most excited about, trying one of the 1st 4094 avnt's or my 40 over sticks :D Still kinda nervous about putting dual CP3's on tho. I guess dual CP3's and a stock tune couldn't hurt anything right:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Kevin

I think you will actually be very surprised at what a difference injectors make, even with a stock tune.

Im running a 100% stock tune with my bigger injectors and it moves along better than my stock injectors did with a 1950us 20* timing tune.

It may go on this week. I'm just about done planting. I can't tear down the truck I use to haul seed around in  I really, really want it on by this Sat as this is our first TnT. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I will definately keep everyone posted on this as I would like to know if I were in your shoes too. I suppose it was kinda like dangeling a steak in front of a starved dog, me telling I got a 4094. Sorry. I will wait till closer to the time of install next time:D:hug:

this is not the same as a cheetah. although it will be somewhat similar. i really hope they got the rive pressure problem and egt problem fixed. kevin i wont be able to make it to the test and tune because danielle has graduation that day

While I had a very negative outlook on the Garrett AVNT 37 I have a positive outlook on this AVNT 40. The 37 was never meant to be used as a race and sled pulling charger - just like the LB7 GT37 it was meant as a stock upgrade for increased power while towing. This AVNT 40 has the same compressor wheel as the GT4094, Fleece 68mm, and Danville 68mm - the difference is this one is in a Garrett designed compressor cover, not a machined stock cover. The compressor map on it is very close to the GT4094 and there are no maps for the Cheetah or Danville 68s. The exhaust doesn't flow as well as a comparable 1.06 A/R GT4094 but it is considerably better than a stock exhaust side. I have a feeling that with max effort tuning this AVNT 40 will slightly outperform the Danville and Fleece 68's but will fall a little short of the GT4094 in all out wide open performance. This is all just my opinion based on the research I have done on all 3 chargers and my experience with my 68mm Cheetah.

Got it on last night, all I have left today is injector tips so it should be running tonite. I really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There is another post on here that I posted for help because I got stuck but it answered the quetions I had and they are very valuable answers for anyone doing their own! Also, HAVE A TURBO TO DRAIN TUBE GASKET!!!!! Thank god the dealership in Des Moines stayed open til 5pm on Sat. So after a 2 hour RT drive for a $2.80 gasket, it is on.

Here are some pics of the difference in size of the inducer and exducer. And belive me, it does bolt up stock, but with the new compressor cover it is FULL in the valley now.

Will post up tonite when I get it running. I still have Pat's race tune in so I don't know how it will run with bigger turbo and sticks on that tune.

Nice! Good to hear your close to getting it running. I'm sure this turbo with proper tunning will perform great and better than a stock modded one being it's engineered by it's design. I'd like to see one run down the strip to get a real idea of the kind of power it's capapble of instead of dyno numbers but I'm sure it will be done sometime. Tunning wise with your bigger tips depending on what your tune asks for for fuel you might dump alot in there so becarefull at first and your timming will need to be lowered as well. I think you made a great choice on your mods and would like to go for a ride once you get it all tuned in or atleast see it in action!

I am excited to hear some results from this setup as well. Keep us updated

Be careful when changing the tips the little tiny shim under the tip is freakin SMALL, don't loose them. I changed some of mine last night and about lost one. I suggest taking them off over a white rag or paper incase you drop one.

Well............ good news and bad news.

Good news - turbo install went smooth, I have all the injectors out and the new tips on.

Bad news - every o-ring ripped on removal so I can't get running tonite.

***** Tech note for anyone replacing injectors, just spend the money and get the o-rings and coppers, you are gonna need them anyhow:mad:. *****

I will have it running Monday nite and will post as to how badly I sh*t myself when I get on it.:D:coal:

Do you think I will be ok running the tune I have in (modified McRat Wendy tune(I am running same timing but about a 3200us shot))?

Hell no.. You are going to have to play with the injection alot. If your injectors are %40 over start about %40 us back of what youre running on the fat end.

X2 start lower and rule of thumb with bigger injectors is you don't need as much timming either. How far to back off timming I have no idea.

Damn I wih I would have known that. I have some extra o-rings and Copper washers I coulda sent also. I only have about 5 or 6 but it would have helped.

What else came in the mail ;) ??
