TX of course
Clean the shit out of everything before installing too. You get a little oil film on the inter cooler lines from the PCV.

The best way to quiet down one of Marks turbos is to twin it......lol

Had the fte resonator installed and it’s a little to quiet for me, I can still hear the whistle of the turbo but I liked the throaty sound that it had. Hopefully when I put the s480 over this Danville i can take the resonator off. And it’ll be a little louder. You guys with a compound set up. How do you like it ? And how does it sound ?

My compounds are nice and quiet but bark when stepped on. How do you like the 65 so far?

I really miss the throaty grumble of the 5”straighted stock turbo. The Danville 63.5 was quiet, not much whistle. I swapped for the Danville 68, and it has more whistle now, but I really miss the rumble.

I like the 65 so far. I am still taking it easy. yesterday was the first day, I actually drove it for a bit. I really like the epc fooler, I shifts sooo much better. I love how the truck sounds but that whistle is to much for me, but I liked the rumble. now that the resonator is on, the turbo is MUCH nicer but the rumble is mostly gone. im thinking once I do compounds ill take the resonator off. kinda sucks but o well.

You just need to drive in the upper rpm's more. rumble will be there :D. I love the sound of the 68 vanes opened up, fingers pistons and a set of up pipes. makes it sound like a big block chevy and no whistle or very slight whistle when boost comes on. i found myself driving in the 2800-4k rpm range alot breaking the engines in :roflmao:

one of the reason im excited to finish my engine :D.

Lol. Have you guys ever had compounds on your trucks ? If so how do you like them. I was talking to a guy at Danville and he said to run a 5 blade s480 over there 65. But I thought a 5 blade was a little over priced and something for racing. Not towing or DD

compounds are for women...

:roflmao: definitely new around here, aint ya

hes not wrong. you choose your poison but there is a difference in power from a box stock 480 to the 5 blade 480 to a box stock 483 to a decked out 483 and on and on and on.

all depends on how much you want to push it. btw, you should probably start your own thread.

I like women lol. Being new around this particular forum, yes. But I’m usually on Duramax forum. I’m kinda piggy backing off this thread just because it seems reasonable with all the questions that I have pertaining to what the op is doing or has done. Thanks for the feed back though :thumb:

Does anybody know where I can get one of these brake line/abs sensor clips?

They usually come on the abs sensor when you buy it.

Either way, if that sensor wore is real close to the brake line, the brake line will saw through that sensor quick. I know your trying to ditch the zip tie they used to secure it but I’d also get it away from that braided hose.

Btw, call G&M motorsports by you (I think they put your lift on but don’t remember). They might have the clips
