Give up on the switch, it's not like previous years. It just increases fuel rate. You are MUCH better off running a big tune and get a tow tune to flash if needed. Every truck I have driven with SOTF in an LML was terrible, but other stand alone files from the same tuner ran much better.

You’re absolutely correct about the fuel rate, but the way it drives it honestly up to the tuner and how it’s setup in the tune. We have several trucks running 100-200% injectors, 10-14mm pumps that make up to 1000hp and use our custom SOTF setup and absolutely love it.

I’ll vouch for Blake’s SOTF installed his tunes on my cousins truck with the switch and was night and day compared to what he had before

Thanks for all help Blake, especially on a Sunday. Looking forward to running your tunes.

Now, because I left my Autocal in the truck in Idaho, so Pat can download the tunes, I’m waiting on MotorOps to send me my money back as well as an unlink code. I spoke with Tristan again this morning and informed him I urgently need this and he said no problem. I also told him they had a month to get my tunes updated and they had a deadline and all he said was that the tuner, Cameron, worked on them until 7PM last Friday and he was “surprised” I didn’t have them. At the end of the day they left me hanging and don’t seem to care and it pisses me off.

You’re in good hands now with Blake :thumb: I’m interested in seeing your track times with it all done and Blake’s tunes. I’m heading out to the track in a month when our track opens and shooting for a 12

12s to start would be amazing coming from a 14.2. The truck does wright 8500 with me and fuel and had 35s but it also has 4.11s so it seems slow for what I’ve got.

well at this point the dyno numbers and track numbers arent adding up. your built trans tunes are only showing you around 450rwhp mark. with a good launch, you should be able to hit high 12s pretty east after everything you are doing IF everything plays nice with each other. once dailed in and if you do really hit 700 hp, you should be deep 12s.

Where would you suggest dyno’ing in Phoenix?

Dynos are for diagnostics and tuning. Dyno numbers dont mean crap. :thumb:

^^this, dont depend on the dyno for your number. Use the track to tell you what you are putting down. Very rarely do the two match. The dyno is best used to tune the truck in for issues you may be having or to get the most out of the setup as you can compare numbers back to back.

Ive yet to find anyone in town that can accurately dyno diesels and match that number at the track. LML's are specially tricky since they never see the same loads as the street/track and numbers can vary even more. the only one i ever got close to show HP number that matched track was the old az dyno chip dyno that Keith had. hes since moved but i required you running 5th gear and him dicking with the dyno brake big time to load the truck (was not a load cell dyno, it was inertia). The last couple load cells ive been on or been to were all over the place. Even the place way the hell out in BFE queen creek we took the race cummins too showed more HP than what we put to the track.

I'm more interested in how it feels driving and hauling than I am in track times or dyno numbers but I like to know where I stand on both after the money invested. Ill go back to the same place as before, as suggested by Rob at ATP, and have them run it again once it's all buttoned up. Same deal at the track, Ill be back there once I get it all buttoned up. I also think the new tires and wheels coming will make a difference as I'm saving about 20lbs a corner with those.

The track will give you the best idea on HP. Use the MPH in the calc here on the site to give you the best idea on rwhp. Comp D has one as well. Dont base it off ET, specially if you have a crap 60 ft. the MPH will the closest to what you are making HP wise over any dyno or the ET. you have to really mess up at the track for it to be wrong.

i have way too much fun beating "700hp" truck on my tow tune cause thats what the dyno told them

Thats a gas calculator, stick to diesel ones as stated. Gas ones will vary due to the lower torque made and other variables that dont carry over.

both of those are known to be very accurate.

How’s your truck so heavy? I’ve seen 15+ crew cab short beds at 7700 or 7800. I’m on 33” but hoping that if I’m putting 570-600 to the wheels at 7800 I’ll break 12’s pretty easy.
