Its nice to know that Duramax performance isnt completely dead with the LMLs.

But it will never be competitive. Square front, heavy weight, and tuning that doesn't work at this point. When I say tuning; I didn't mean it to say no one can tune these trucks. There is a lot of stuff not available yet.
Older trucks rule at this point.

From what I am seeing stock to mildly modified is about it for now. You just don't have enough control over everything to get exactly what you want out of it. You can make them a pleasant street truck but that about it.

There are several high HP fully built LML's. Kory probably tunes most of them is why the other guys in here don't see them lol. He has quite a bit figured out with them.

Yeah I wondered what was up..

I know mine isn't wildly modified yet but I would consider it more than mildly modified and it runs really good with zero problems..

Can't wait to get this tcm tune now so maybe I'll feel better about running my big tune now..

Mike wa referring to the tables EFI doesn't allow the tuners to modify. If you want to swap the charger forget about it unless you want to go fixed. Mark even designed the r turbos trying to create a hard part fix for it bc the tuners were having a very hard time with turbo swaps. I tried to put a bw3794 on an LML and it was a turd bc there are tables Kory couldn't get into. Maybe he has found another way around that now, I hope he chimes in.

Kudos to Kory for figuring out the trans tuning ahead of EFI-Live

LB7's rule.......nothing beats them IMHO

I wouldn't say "never". I think the piezo market has a lot to say that it just hasn't said yet.

Tuning Chomos LML was a nightmare, but many late nights and we got it nailed... That has been the only one since mass release I can think of the we strait up ran into tuning issues. It was a mess, but she sings 5500+ with ease now! Had to find tables efi did not have though.

So anybody have any feedback by now? I got mine installed a week ago or so and can't really see any difference.. Autocal did like expected as far as loading the tune but wish there was some way I could watch my pressure and just make sure the tune is actly in there.. I bout think it still slips on my big tune but seems like it is better than before..
Does anybody have any definite differences to talk about??

Oh and lock up don't seem any different than before either.. BUT, I could be just blowing through it because my power level is on the wrong side of the 'to much for stock tranny' line..

You could always put a pressure gauge on it and verify. Not overly complicated at all

There are around 50+ reviews on the other forums... But here is what I seen.

Everyone reporting trans temps 10-30* higher than stock.

Lockup at WOT in second gear

I have another tune that actually locks the converter in part throttle 3rd gear that's pretty cool as well.

Putting the trans tune on is by far not a night and day difference and the Allison generally learns itself to shift pretty normal after a bit. Did you get the street trans file or race?

I wish the Allison was a bit more dependent on tuning for shifts, rather than learning and doing its own thing.

Yeah I never looked on other forums but I was wondering if you could make it lock up under part throttle.. I think I'd like that better than 2nd WOT lock up..

And I got the race tune..

I also would like lower shift points on first two shifts because now if I spin just a LITTLE bit it hits rpm limiter and messes around there for a second.. Annoying

Glad you like it... What is in yours is what I currently have in my 2016 (yes, the unreleased t87!)...

I really like the 3rd gear part throttle lockup.
