So what do you need when we call in for a tune? Trans serial number or you just go off our VIN that already have?

If you have a autocal, we will need the autocal serial number and your vin number. We then send you a tune to full flash in, but read your stock file first. We will have directions though to follow for it all, it's super simple!

Do we have video confirmation of this thing with a mechanical gauge pulling 300psi? I have my doubts.

Ours did 285-295 mostly hanging out at 289... It spiked 300 at 3400 rpm a couple times! Maybe not all trucks will do it, but at least we do know that they will sustain 250 at minimum according to Mike and Ben.

Speaking with Brad@Calvins as well, he agrees not all trucks will make the 250+, but some will while others do not. Brayden also tested this a while back with same results. I'll see what I can do to get a video soon, I'll use a new truck too... Chads was sold today!

Just remembering I think Evan at Limitless tested as well main unplugged and he seen around 280... Maybe he can confirm as well here...

Editing my post (It's quoted in Korys post below).

Thanks for clarification Kory. I was under a different impression. Efi live has a post as well, however I was not aware they were not working on the maps in beta. Appreciate the work in this direction.

$299 for a TCM tune is interesting.

When it's out of beta (soon), all other non beta testor's will be offering as well and a lot less than $299.

I understand the time that goes into beta testing, and that makes a good excuse to sell it at such a price, but I remember a time back in the day where when parts of software wasn't even considered to be sold while in beta. Seems as of late that's the new thing is to release tuning at a premium price while there's only a handful offering it. Just an observation is all.

As far as what this tcm tuning can offer you, that's been covered pretty quickly already in this thread. I have my doubts on the pressures here are accurate as stated as using the Pmax software and mechanical gauge, it's not adding up, yet at least.

Tcm tuning isn't in beta bud... We did it in binary. Just like we did the cummins... Very time consuming and it's what I feel is worth my time. Myself, Evan, Brayden, Brad, Ben, and Mike (Mike and Ben seen it at 250, we all seen it at 280-300, but all understand some will only make 250) all state with pressure mods they have seen these numbers... What they are doing is essentially the same thing we are doing in tuning. I don't see what's hard to understand?

When you see everyone release their a50 stuff.... Unless they did it in binary, I will be surprised if amongst release they have pressure control. I'm in efi beta, and that's not something they are currently doing. Sure, maybe later on when efi does map it and offer it (if they do) then more coming into market may try to drive the price down.. But I have held my prices from release on every platform the same price to date ... Never drop.

A lot more to a built trans then pressure. BUD. Like I said before. Peak pressure don't mean jack crap if its not consistent. Mike already stated the lml converter is not going to like it at all. Others have pointed out multiple times that the clutches won't hold the power. To me it seems like 650 is way to high for just tuning. Others might buy it but I don't.

Just curious Kory but how long did it take you guys to do this? Always interested in programming myself. I think it's pretty damn cool that you were able to accomplish this:thumb:

We can keep constant pressure at 250+ at just idle... Just like unplugging it.
The Lml converter won't hold forever, but I can tell ya there are MANY guys here on stock trannies and no pressure mods making 600 for a long time. Eventually for sure will break, however, they will do it for a while and even longer with pressure. It will no last forever and like I said 100 times, this is not a replacement for a built trans... But I can tell you 6+ of ours are still kicking at 650+.

And yes... I know there is much more to a built trans than just pressure... I shared a office with Calvins from 2012-2014.

Appreciate it man... We started back mapping this stuff in 2014. With cummins, I had to take a break on it. I picked back up on it 8 months ago and just piddled with it. I have worked consistent on it the last 2 months though hitting it very hard. Since the 2016 models ended up being easy, it gave me the time to work on other stuff.

No problem... I could fully understand where you were coming from if this was a "off the shelf" supported efi thing, but it's not in this case.

We actually had to do the mapping in binary and then bring then import the file into efi so it could be converted from .bin to .Calz and work with their software. Lots of work.
