That thought crossed our minds here. May be ordering a set of the oversized pistons too. I'll see what I can do to post a piccy poo or two.

it might be the angle of the pics, but is the bowl smaller in diameter? Or does the "lip" overhang more?

Do the LML rods have holes for wrist pin lubrication?

No wrist pin lubrication holes and the lip does hang over more. As for the size of the hole I'm not sure if it is different or not. (no remarks there!) If anyone wants some different angles let me know and I will see what I can do.

looks like the lml has a smaller oil passage leaving more metal where needed. also looks like there is more metal below the oil ring.

Interesting! Great picture Guy, and thank-you for posting a high-res version. :cool:

Id be willing to build a motor with de-lipped LML pistons and beat the crap out of it...we've got lots of extra blocks and cranks here.

De-lipped LML piston I would think would be ~15.5:1??? Stock is 16.0:1

EDIT: Actually looking at the taper of the rod small end on the LML....will a carillo or LBZ rod even fit in an LML piston...?
