LLY mods for LBZ airbox?

Here are two pics I just took. One showing where a piece of foil looking insulation was and what was behind it
I bored a bunch of 1 1/2" holes in the air intake side of my LLY airbox, it seems to like that and I've been running it that way for 4 years now.
WTF is that sheet metal...
...? The second one is where I removed/cut the inner fenderwell on my previous picture. You also need the mounting plate to hold the CAI in place..
Cut a bigger hole in the fenderwell and skip the PPE mod..

Yeah that is a huge hole compared to whats on mine?

Harbor Fraught body saw, wished I would have spent a $100.00 on one as they sure use/waste a lot of air. My 17cfm compressor has no problems keeping up with my IR 1/2 impact, DA sander. That thing is horrible but did the job barely....
Cover the motor fender liner to liner, firewall to grill with a paint drop cloth you'll be glad you did....

Yeah aside from the hole in the bottom plate, thats what mine looks like
Like the filter minder keeps moving indicating its either not pulling enough air or the filter is clogged
It has to be working correctly from what I guess. When I had the stock LLY airbox on, the filter minder never moved, at least that I noticed. Also people have said that the lbz intake really woke up their truck, I haven't noticed much difference on a race tune
It's a filter that was slightly used back in December. So yeah. I just did the ppe mod to the bx as well hoping it will help
