Seems like it is pretty consistent. I'll need to do more testing with a load on it to see how consistent it is

Half the wiring done.

Now, to add a breakout board for the control wires so can scope out all 8 along with crank signal on my little 16ch scope.

I present you the LBMZY7 FUCM Harness..

As an LLY owner, I want to thank all of those involved in this pursuit. I really love my truck and I want to keep it for a long time but I've been thinking of selling it since the FICM is virtually unobtainable these days and the last thing I need is an 8000lb paper weight in my driveway. My truck runs flawlessly but this subject has been a source of concern for me lately. It's good to see the community here taking action to try to fill the void.

I think these are both of the connectors you are looking for.

Good news. Kodiak with LB7 looks to have started in 03 and there is very little chassis choices... 04 is a split year LB7/LLY engine option with tons of chassis....

Anyone have a link to the LB7 Kodiak wiring diagram??

Would make things go quicker if I can start at these chassis connectors rather than at the ecm side.

This looks like the C101 based on the colors I see.

Those matched up perfect. Many Thanks.

Have all the critical power wires sorted, and it's almost ready to crank it up.

One last request. Need a pinout for that APPS ya sent me. :)
I thought I was going to wake up to you unlocking all the mysteries... NOPE!!!!

Here you go! :coffee:

Found this LB7/LLY FICM Driver Schematic in a Duramax history document I was skimming over. Shows a separate Low and High side driver layout for One Bank, in our two bank system. Which while hacking up harnesses, reminded me they switched to a 4 bank layout on the LBZ release.

To me, without pinning anything out, this helps explains 2 of the extra mosfets on the board, probably connected to a NOR Gate, controlling the high side. First time I've seen this GM schematic.

I'm caught up on the paperwork side of business, and heading down the the Bat Cave here shortly to hack up that LB7 harness.

Will see if can get the LB7 ECM and FICM on speaking terms today. Also posted a job on Upwork for someone to modify that Arduino emulator sketch so it outputs 8 evenly spaced time adjustable pulses in place of the cam signal, replicating our LLY or LB7 ECM. Having them write two versions of the code. One were the GPIO pins apply power at each pulse, and other cuts the power for pulse. Hopefully have that ready and tested within 24hrs, so pick up an Arduino Uno project kit from Walley World if your out and about.
Did the arduino emulator thing get done?
