If you have questions just ask, I'm finding out some stuff the hard way but sort of have it figured out-for right now or so I think

There are a lot of very smart (way more than what I am) people on here for sure

I'd like to run mine and see what she's got. I as deep into the 12s when I was lowered. I hope to stay in the 12s but who knows really not trying to build the motor

I bet if you cut some weight you can do around the same times as me- what size injectors do you have?

I wont cut anymore weight than i already have. I like knowing what i run at damn near my day to day weight. Im currently at 7650 untill i load the tool box back up. Injectors are 45% overs. Im on a 2000uS tune now and its almost as strong as my old race tune that bent my rods

Theres not much more to setting a lifted truck for racing than any other truck. A good set of racong shocks would eliminate the need for straps but those wouldnt work well for me. Make sure cv AND steering angles are flat ( flat cv are good but steering is what really affects your launch) and have a damn strong steering setup. From there your getting into a truck by truck basis on what shock setup, rear end preload works, and so on. Ive never shot for low 60s. Best ive ran were 1.8 60s with soft launches. Traction bars helped keep me in deeper 1.8 60s where before id be pullin 1.9 or 2.0s on a ok track prep.

My 60 overs are much higher pw than that lol. And I ran my truck an entire week without the seats or tailgate on the truck, that still counts as a DD truck, right? :rofl:

I try to race mine. 60 ft is in the 1.80s on a good launch. Tire pressure plays a big roll in traction. My front end is dropped past flat CV angles but it lifts a lot at launch and can get a little squirely sometimes. I needs better shocks and an air locker in the front.

12.67 is my best time to date on stock injectors with a 150k mile CP3. That was on #2 only no water/meth. It seems to run out of fuel past 4th gear which kills my time and MPH. I'm sure it would run low 12s with a new pump and bigger sticks. Might also crack a piston so I'm not real quick to push it that hard.

I have been very close to pulling the lift many times but I cant seem to pull the trigger. Plus I love to see the reaction of people in quick cars when a lifted truck walks past them.

I run my own steering kit (stock center link with heim joint tie rods and CL support)and have no issues with centerlink rotation.

I' tried launching my pig at the track.... It was nasty. I like that we all have the 8 inch fabtech lift and they are all cclb's. Whatever works for you guys should work for me... All I need is a straight centerlink to be able to launch. I have sleeves and braces but they didn't work for
chit and my bars were down. Anyways, I love swing lifted trucks kick some ass

I have a 4 inch TC lift with toyo AT's that are 33's. Im cutting 1.68 60's and am running high 11's. When its all smoothed out my truck should run no slower than mid 11's on fuel! Its gone 7.45 in the 1/8! My torsion bars are cranked way down. My truck wieghts around 7,000 lbs. Im also leaving around 15 psi to 18 psi. My truck launches awesome and very smooth.

I'm convinced my limit straps really help, I lose traction and spin but its smooth down the track. The first time I ran I left a little more T-bar in it (but not much) and no straps and was all over the place-I also had a little more tire PSI. so those 3 things helped me a lot-drop the tire PSI down, take the T-bars all the way down, and limit straps.

yeah ditch the cognito supports and put a different centerlink in. fabtech puts REALLY bad angle into the steering when your set at 8" of lift and this jsut magnifys the leverage onto the centerlink so even with braces, they will still bend and move allowing toe change. i went down that road a looooooong time ago joe :D. Id run one of Michaels new centerlinks and put the tie rods in the middle position and run a set of his braces. no more worries again and if your really track bound you can switch to the front setting wihtout any more worries

its due to the straps stopping toe change as your suspension rises. a fabtech kit amplifys the already bad toe change our trucks inheriantly have. everything your doin is goin down the right road though, and no takin seats and tailgate off dont count :D :rofl:

Matt Moon has one of the fastest lifted trucks i know of , here is a vid of his truck , keep in mind this was 2 years ago :eek: if Matt hadn't decided to take a break he would have ran alot faster , he never took it out after doing the big compounds . Also those runs are at RMR , DA is usually over 6k :eek:

We are in the middle of a huge build right now that were doing the lift with all the other goodies , i am hoping to take it to the track before it leaves , but is about 6 weeks out .

I'm going to try the limit straps hopefully this weekend. I need to get a 12 out of this thing.

I would love to get into the low 11s like that truck. Thats going to requre lockers and better tires so I have to wait till I have money again
