Bringing up an old thread. Do any of you that run your lifted truck at the track use double Cardan (cv style) front driveshaft? If yes,how have they held up and do they have any vibration at high speeds?

No they won't hold up. I know of one guy breaking three before he gave up and started putting the stock back in to race.

no, id rather keep the reliable stocker and risk cracking a t-case than putting an aftermarket shaft in and wondering when it will blow and take my t-case/trans with it.



I'm tempted to make hoops or a shield just in case. They do some damage when they let go

I have an old thread on here where my Stock front drive shaft broke, clipping my turbo oil feed line, busting my trans pan. The weld at yoke failed. I re welded everything back and it never gave trouble again.

I ran low 12's years ago with 6.5in suspension lift, 3in body lift and 37in interco M16's.
