A friend has one on a dodge and likes it. The only thing he hates is changing those filters and getting covered in fuel. To me that would get old every 3K. The importance of a clean, good flowing filter is huge. I'll stick with my 1792 even though it broke. The high volume flow and simple factory filter change is nice. Just my opinion:D Take the extra 300 bucks you are going to spend and buy another go fast part!!

I have had very good luck so far with my AIRDOG 150 W/tank pick-up, It will keep up with the biggest of tunes and you can not hear it running once the truck starts. I bought mine from Kyle at Extreme Diesel and I had 4 extra fittings, it seems the biggest complaint so far is a missing fitting or two but if you buy from kyle he will make surre you get everything needed for the install. As far as the instructions they are pretty general but if you are semi mechanically inclined you will not have any problem with them. My only complaint with the Airdog system was the mounting possition they recomend. They have the system mounted perpendicular to the frame and the mount can be seen because it hangs about 3/4" lower then the frame rail. I mounted mine paralell with the frame, It took some cutting and welding but it was not bad and its alot cleaner looking and also less likely to get hung up on something if you are off roading. You could also simply heat the mount up and bend it strait for the same effect if you do not want to do any welding but you will still see the mount under the frame rail if you look. I have pics of the kit and install if anyone would like to see them let me know.

I would say 95 gp/h for under 500hp, 150gp/h for above or if running dual CP3's.

I installed 2 AirDog 150 pumps this weekend and they were both easy. I have to bend down out side the truck to hear it with the key on and with it running I can't hear it at all. We pulled the bed on both trucks and it takes 10-15 to pull the bed. The only thing I would say to do is on the first we used the return setup that came with it (going into the filler neck) but on mine we simply cut the stock suction flex line that's on the bottome of the sending unit and used the extra 1/2" quick connect fitting to connect to the stock suction fitting on the top of the sending unit. All it does is dump fuel in a different spot but it's a bit easier that way. You can't beat getting a 150gph with a filter and water and air seperator for under $500 is you ask me.

Did you have any troubles with those quick connect fittings attaching correctly? Thats the biggest complaint Ive heard so far... that and crappy instructions.

Supposedly those things are being fixed... I hope soon as I need to order one!

Dunno. When I first tried the 1792, I was told it would not deal with diesel fuel, but the same pump is working over 2 years later.

I tried the Mallory (worked, but not high enough flow) and the Holley HP150 (great flow, busted in 1 month) also, as well as the "old faithful" Carter pump.

Fuse smuse:D....both my KDs and my carter run on fuse and are swithed

my carter is ONLY for GASOLINE and has pumped thousands of gallons of dirty dyed rig fuel

the KDs are quiet but for the price the carter is more pressure than 2 kds
JMHO

FWIW my KDs are rarely ever shut off and have lasted over 60 000 miles
but my carter is used to fill are gens at work as well as my fuel tank

Bang for buck...Carter IMO

I don't know if the instructions were updated but I didn't find them to be difficult to follow. PureFlow (the makers of AirDog) sent Xtreme a Durmax pump box with a Dodge installation kit box on accident but when I called Xtreme about it they had PureFlow send me the right stuff and it was here the next day. Ended up having a whole bag of extra fittings to do what we wanted with. The Quick disconnects worked fine - just slide it on the supply line to the motor the same way the factory quick connects work and if you do it like me put the AirDogs return line onto the stock suction line on the tank with the extra fitting they give you.

If you don't understand the instructions ask one of us that has installed it and you'll be fine. When it dries up I need to go take pictures of it all.

I am leaning towards the MITUSA, I know the guy that developed it and I have seen them first hand. Heck the guy that designed them lives in the same city I went to H.S., when I go visit my mom I might have to stop and pick one up. -Jeff
