I can say for a fact that on my setup power keeps increasing as you increase rail pressure up to 240 MPA. (34,809 psi) I haven’t tested above that pressure as that is the limit of the pressure sensor I was using.

So I’m actually speaking from first hand real world experience. But I’d love to hear from others who also have actual info to share. Not half baked theory’s.

A lot of tuner say pressures king also goes into guys trying to run to much PW dragging your rail down. Like guys that think they need a 3200us tune, because that’s what their buddy has. However they are only holding 20k rail.

Pressure might be king but not at the cost of injectors if you use to much and blow them out in a year or 2.

So basically what your saying is, your comment was based on zero first hand experience, you agree more pressure makes more power in the applications your actually familiar with, and that because a P pump makes more power on a Cummins then common rail does on a Duramax that pressure must not be the answer?

Did I follow your thought process correctly? Because my head hurts now trying to keep up with you.

Correct I do not have a stand alone on my puller and every setup is different. I'm not totally disagreeing that higher pressures make more power. I'm more or less saying that i think there is more to it than pressures. Volume, timing pw and overall setup of each engine. Name one limited pro common rail that dominates night,in night out. that is every common rails answer is add more pressure.

I'm going out on a limb and saying most pullers are already at a "safe maximum", stock trucks however have a little wiggle room. And this new fuel system on the L5P is probably more reliable at higher pressure than the old Bosch cp3 setups?

L5P ecm been cracked...
In striving to maintain our professionalism as being first to market again, SC Research is proud to announce the L5P Duramax E41 controller is now fully supported for in-vehicle reflash and performance tuning. GM's new ZR1 E99 controller is our next goal. Support will be added in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for updates and look out for L5P support from our partners!

Now question becomes how much control are they giving us and can it be diy'd
