Ok , its like building a motor in the Sahara desert here . 90 degs at 9 am
But Im doing it anyways . Ever build a motor in a sweat lodge .
Yes I need the sealant and the rest of my parts John B is holding hostage .
The sealant will let me get the rear motor plate on and get the motor on the stand so I can check the machine shops work and check torque on mains and rods .
Anybody know what the torque specs are on rods and mains ? _____ .... _____
Then get the heads on it and adjust the valves .
Need a good torque wrench also . Mine is a little off .
Greg do you have B head gaskets in stock ?
Maybe I should just have a motor building BBQ or a (absinthe party) and get the local CREW over here and get ur done .
Thanks for all the support guys , means alot !!
Johnny
Ill get you the specs in the morning if thats not to late
if you cant wait there is a link on this site that you can get GM info for 3 days for a small fee

So what is the update Johnny?
Ok all , today is the big day . She is going together all the way . No farting around . Ive been putting in some long hours at work and just couldnt get at it . Worked all through the 4th and weekend 7am to 10pm doing floors with slowassLMM .
No more screwing around , I have it all here cleaned and ready to go and layed out .
I will post pics of the progress . By the end of the day today it should be to valve adjustment time .
Not my first motor build . Does kinda look like a big block chevy on steroids .
Just a closed off valley .
Really tired of riding the bike everyday on the grid lock California frwys to downtown Hollywood . I call it riding the Gauntlet .
The near death experiences I could do without . Too many !!
Thanks for all the support and encouragement .
Now if I can just remember where all the parts go .
Well Im out , and off to building . Report back later with some pics for lunch .
Johnny
