That Operator was sure doing everything he could to save those cars. He could’ve ran through those things like tin cans if he wanted.

As much as everybody loves California’s weather…fuck fire season. I had 2 close calls while living there 02-07. Fuck Californians and they’re open space laws too. That is what’s burning all these people’s houses to the ground all in the name of saving the environment. Mother nature has her way of clearing the underbrush if we won’t do it ourselves. I’ve lived through every natural disaster there is other than a tsunami. And California’s fire season is the most self-inflicted one possible.

I'm working south of Hollywood and the smoke is bad from the Eaton fire north of Pasadena.

A lot of these areas have water tanks on the hills and have to then pump the water up to refill them. The powers out no pumps. You'd think back up generators for them.

Meanwhile, the mayor of LA is on vacation over seas..... Maybe it's better that way

Looks like the Eaton fire might prove to be the biggest threat. Winds blowing it towards heavy populated areas

I'll believe when I see it. Several years ago he supposedly invested millions to purchase up air tankers and a slew of other fire fighting equipment. The explanation was it would allow us to deploy them before the fires get out of hand or grow large enough to threaten homes. How has that worked out? As far as I can tell notho has changed. We all thought the Paradise fire was a wake up call.....
Mayor is out of country, no water in fire hydrants and bad land management by local officials equals a very bad situation. Not to mention a DEI LA fire cheif. Wonder if FEMA will have enough money to help these people that lost everything! Doubt it.

Or the people in Western NC after the hurricane. The NC mountains got destroyed and they got 750 for the house and land being gone.
