An LLY was the fastest production diesel truck. Now that we are running twins, it no longer qualifies as a production truck.
So does that mean you can ditch the 4wd now as well?
Casper lost all 4x4 pieces last month to reduce weight on the front tires. It now runs a 2WD LBZ trans with a 2-pc driveshaft.
The record for A/DT is an open record with a 135mph minimum at El Mirage, and no minimum at Bonneville. There was a 1947 Hudson with a 7.3 Ford engine that ran in A/DT at El Mirage, but he did not hit 135mph. Now the Hudson is in MDT due to some modifications that aren't permitted in DT class. There was supposed to be another A/DT truck showing up at Bonneville, but I'm not sure if they will make it.

Casper 1, never ran quicker 13.xx even on slicks. I blamed it on 2wd TCM/ECM issues (before EFILive), but when we swapped out the trans parts prior to trade-in, found it was bad ATS clutches. But it was too late.
Wow, I have to check this thread more often. Casper having a stroker motor is correct then, and puts it in a different class? Have a back up 6.6 motor if you need it? Casper is now a 2x4 and will remain that way? Are Casper's drag racing days over at least as a 4x4? Am I up to speed now or am I still way behind.

One of the reasons for changing Casper to 2wd is that 4wd is not allowed at Bonneville. Now what's allowed for drag racing... well that's another story.
